He couldn?t get off the court any faster. Bet he talks about going home and drinking some wine in his post game comments.

Grif was a perfect fit when he was with us. Good for him.

Much as I hate the Celtics, I think we?re all hoping they come out of this series and end the Heat forever

Nurse hired by Philly. Mavs FO fail.
Although the fact that he chose the Sixers over the Suns is comforting.

How do you review that foul on Butler and still get the call wrong? Clear kickout with no contact by Gordon.

Didn?t know Popeye Jones was on the Denver staff. Maybe Jokic winning a ring will make Luka take his game to the next level.

Took Jokic 9 seasons to win a ring. That is about the norm for a young superstar. Too much expected too soon by Mavs Org when they started freaking out circa 2019 by trying to speed up timetable and not building the right way.

Wow. Should have gotten 25 games for the first incident. Silver needs to grow a pair.

Does he think he is going to make more than that? You can?t pay a max contract to a 33 year old guy who averages 8.5 PPG.

Sources: Wizards, Celtics and Clippers are in strong talks on a trade that would send Kristaps Porzingis to Boston, Marcus Morris and draft compensation to Washington and Malcolm Brogdon to Los Angeles. Sides are still working through details and Porzingis? $36M player option.

Clippers getting Brogdon for Morris is the real news here. Another west team gets stronger.

The Denver Nuggets are trading 2024 first-round pick and 2023 40th pick to the Indiana Pacers for No. 29 and 32 on Thursday, sources tell ESPN.

KP trade fell apart. Boston probably wised up and wouldn't give KP what he wants.

KP trade went through with Grizzlies being the third team.
...and Marcus Smart going to Memphis. Yikes.
Griz gave up two late firsts this year and next year for Smart.
So again, this tells you what picks are worth. Smart is arguably the best defensive pg in the league and he isn't worth much draft capital.

Good deal for the Jazz. Pick up a young guy who has played well in the past for a 2nd rnd pick. They just have to hope he can return to form.

Jazz now have: Collins, Kessler, Markkanen, Olynyk, Taylor Hendricks, Azubuike, and Damion Jones. Gotta believe Olynyk is on his way out.

And now...
Erik Slater @erikslater_
The Clippers are trying to find a trade for Norman Powell as they attempt to avoid the second apron, per @TheSteinLine. Powell (30) is under contract at $19M annually for the next three seasons. He averaged 17.0 PPG on 48/40/81 shooting splits last season.
I like Powell, but don't see his skillset being a priority at this time for the Mavs unless they would be willing to trade for THJ.

Would make Kidd happy with at least one Powell in the game at all times.

Holy hell
?Dillon Brooks took 991 shots last year. He shot 39.6% there is only one player in the entire NBAthat took more shots and made fewer. That player is Fred Van Vleet?
Rockets are going to pay those two 62 million

Holy shit. Dame now saying he?s just not report to training camp if he goes anywhere else
Doesn?t even have a no trade and thinks he can pull this shit
Goes from pretending: ?blazers you are my team? to, ?I?ll wreck your future and guarantee you take crumbs back like the Beal trade because I control the location?

lol Dame. He has 45 millions reasons to show up to whatever team he goes to. Really getting tired of these entitled athletes. They get paid a kings ransom to put a ball through a circle. I hope Portland does what?s best for their franchise and doesn?t settle for some shit package from Miami.

Dame didn't have to take the extension. He made the choice that he has to live with. You aren't a FA buddy. I'm 100% for FAs choosing where they want to go as is their right.
You don't have the right to dictate where a team trades you when you're making that kind of money that you chose to take.

Agree 100%. Portland paid you your money and now you want out. You don?t get to pick where you go. Should have signed with Miami when you were a FA if that?s where you want to be. Hope they trade his ass to Toronto or somewhere nobody wants to play.

While I 100% agree with the sentiment that he should not be able to dictate a trade to a team of his choosing, I am skeptical that owners/GMs will take a chance on him being a distraction. I believe he will end up in Miami. Heat will send out Lowry and Robinson, Blazers will buyout Lowry's contract and he will then sign with the Lakers (because everyone wants to play for the Lakers) or maybe go back "home" to the Raptors.
The genie was let out of the bottle a long time ago. Players dictate. Owners cower in the corner.
