GDT - Mavs @ Pacers 6:00 pm CST
Scouting the Mavericks
When DeShawn Stevenson scored 24 points Saturday against Orlando, it was his highest point total since March 30, 2008. Stevenson, who has averaged 19.3 points in the last four games, was fighting a nasty cold bug Tuesday. ... The Mavericks are trying to avoid their second three-game losing streak since Dirk Nowitzki went out with a sprained right knee. ... Turnovers have been a problem lately. They had seven in a telltale third quarter Saturday. "The turnovers are a little higher because we're trying to make plays," Jason Kidd said. "We're trying to create shots, and sometimes we're trying to squeeze the ball in there. Turnovers happen like that." ... Tyson Chandler is shooting an outrageous 81 percent (39-of-48) in the last 10 games.
Scouting the Pacers
They were hanging around .500 until they lost six of seven heading into Tuesday's visit to Philadelphia. That skid has dropped them well below .500, although they still would be playoff qualifiers at this point in the Leastern Conference. ... If the Mavericks can keep it close, you have to like their chances. The Pacers are 3-7 in games decided by six points or fewer. ... Center Roy Hibbert had a rock-solid start to the season, although the numbers have tailed off. He's still averaging over 13 points and eight rebounds. ... Danny Granger remains the Pacers' offensive focus at nearly 21 points per game, but he's shooting under 42 percent from the field. ... Indiana is prone to turnovers, averaging 15.4 per game.

Hmm..I dont like that it doesn't mention Dirk being back specifically. I think we can beat the Pacers without him, but it would obviously be better to have him back. My gut says if he was for sure playing there would be atleast one line about him though....

It's a F'ing knee sprain. Even with Dirk's awesome healing powers, it still hurts like a bitch. I'm speaking from experience of a knee sprain myself.
Chill brah.

Whenever Dirk comes back, the timing of the announcement (or lack thereof) may give us some insight into how Roddy's return will be announced (or unannounced). If Dirk just magically appears in the starting lineup with no announcement, it will give me great hope that Roddy may do the same sometime soon...

Dirk coming back against SA would be rough. Talk about getting thrown into the fire. It sure would be nice if he got an easy game like tonight to get going.
Indiana had been playing terribly. Lost 7 straight on the road, but they finally won one last night. After starting hot, Roy Hibbert has been pretty lousy lately. So lousy he is seeing a Sports Psychologist. Watch out for Collison.

Unless something changes, here are the starters
Kidd, Stevenson, Marion, AJINCA & Chandler. Ajinca started 4 games in '08-09 for CHA.

Well, without Dirk this is definitely a fifty-fifty game. Looking forward to see Stevenson do the thing again.

Yeah, I like it when Stevenson does that thing where he puts the ball in the hoop.

Ahhh, interesting. Terry back to the bench, Stevenson takes on Collison or does Kidd take him?

Talk about an ugly/boring game - at least we got a fairly big lead right now.
