Speaking of old school films, I just watched a good "older" movie from the early 80's starring Robert Duvall. Tender Mercies... wow, what a tremendous understated movie. Not much of anything happens in the movie but I was glued to the TV the entire time anyways.. tremendous acting.... It's amazing how much a great actor like Duvall can make a movie about every day life extraordinarily watchable.

Good hint. Thanks. I like Bob Duvall. Unfortunately many films and actors are not as recognized as they should be.

Umm... Have you ever seen "Wild Horses"? He not only acts, but wrote and directed it, ANNND has his wife star in it and it's the worst gd movie I've ever seen.

No, i haven´t. I´ll skip it then. I mostly watch movies when they are old. And new western movies...hm, i don´t know. Might be, there are some good ones. I liked Bone Tomahawk. Must say, it really delivered.

If you like Duvall and haven't seen Lonesome Dove..it's a must see.

I certainly would watch this, but i fear, the times for high quality TV are over. As far as Germany is concerned.

Check out “Dark” on Netflix. You can pretend it’s network TV.
