It's easy for Dirk against Murphy when he gets the ball in either the low or high post. Why they haven't done this more? ....common sense.

Monstrous slam...once again, the scrambling on defense leads to the Mavs not getting the board...

(Murphy, Dirk got more touches in the first quarter than he got in the 2nd. A lot more.)
I'll say it again, it's not their offense that is killing them.

Enough is enough with this rebounding situation. We have Asnu Sesay looking like freaking Elton Brand.

Not a bad look by Fin, but it's a killer when he continues to miss the relatively easy jumpers or shots in the lane. He'll turn it around, but it's not helping the Mavs right now much at all. Only missing out on all the d'boards has hurt the Mavs worse.

Finley climbs up Foyle and I love him and then he botches 2 rebounds and takes another crappy shot. 2-10. We get it. You're off. Try it again in the second half.

Mavs can't play this poorly in the second half, and I'd be stunned if Warriors continue to play this well. I'm predicting a third quarter similar to the second quarter of the Memphis game is forthcoming.

You've got to think that the Mavs will get the rebounding turned around a bit...plus, they'll probably decide to incorporate Dirk into the offense and surely Fin can't be that off for the rest of the game.

Our defensive rebounding in the first half leaves a lot to be desired. They seem to be getting a lot of second chances.

That sucks. A whistle goes off in the stands and the players stop. Fisher makes his move and the Warriors score again.

I was wondering why the video sucked on the satellite. It's hailing here! In Phoenix!!
It could be a cold day in hell.
But we've certainly come back more than 13 before.

obvious point: If the mavs an limit the warriors offfensive boads in the second half then they will win.
They are just being outhustled. Shows that anyone can beat you if you don't bring your "A" game.
Bad ball movement on offense also.

Time to go with Dirk at the 3, Benga at the 4 and Bradley and start controlling the boards. Damp is glued to the floor.

RE: Golden State @ Dallas (return of Najera!!) GameDay Thread
Dallas just needs some intensirt/energy on the defensive end and they should win it if they do.
They are sleepwalking defensively. And offensively, nbelson just needs Dirk 15 feet at the elbow on just about every possession and give him the option of shot, pass, or drive.

You knew these type of games were coming. The second half will be another good test for the Mavs. It should be interesting to see if they come out a little bit more scrappier in the second half.

RE: Golden State @ Dallas (return of Najera!!) GameDay Thread
The problem with this offense is that it looks outside first...still. Bayliss is right..get Dirk the ball on the elbow and he will make good things happen. This is what should happen on a regular basis.

RE:Golden State @ Dallas (return of Najera!!) GameDay Thread
It's like the Mavs are waiting on their offense to start clicking to kick in the defensive intensity and rebounding....not gonna happen....
WAY TOO MUCH STANDING AROUND AND LOOKING at times....
Mavs have to come out and act like every single rebound is LIFE OR DEATH...get in there and out fight them for it.....
I've hated Nelly's combination's tonight....seems like someone dribbling out front...either Dirk or Fin on the side and 3 scarecrows planted on the other side of the court.....
If we keep getting punked and pushed around on the boards then stick Booth and Bradley in there and tell them to mix it up and don't worry about the fouls.....Not a good game or spot for Henderson so far...even when he gets good position...GS's athletes just jump right over him....Fin's gotta do a better job of not losing his man and having him go keep the ball alive or get the offensive rebound.....It's just killing us....
Nelly needs to find the 5 meanest guys that want to go to war and stick them out there and have at it.........

RE:Golden State @ Dallas (return of Najera!!) GameDay Thread
To give the Warriors some props, I thought Foyle was a nice factor in the first half. don't know if his stats show it, but he was a factor inside on driving Mavs. Plus he had some nice boards.
Fisher hit some nice tough shots, but I give him those. If he can make them, the Warriors will win.

I love when they're shooting the FT and they don't even give us a camera angle where you can see the rim.

It's nice to see the Mavs continue to attack and the rewards finally coming in.
A couple more stops and the Mavs can turn this into their favor.

Well, Dirk only has 3 boards, but he's drawn three fouls while going for the board.
