Well, unfortunately, I don't think you described Howard there...

Howard is looking at years and years of "almost an all-star" status....damn good, but not quite over the top.
Once Nash starts to fade, there'll be Parker and Chris Paul in the west -- any other PGs stand out for several years to come? None come to mind immediately (well, maybe the freaky tall dude in LAC, Livingston).....somewhere along I think Harris can work his way into a PG spot on the all-star roster.
cheers

voted for Harris...just feel he has more upside than JHo long term....Howard is borderline now...but who is he going to bypass in the west? Harris could be as good as Parker or Paul in two years time. But man, don't ya just love both?!
Harris/JT/Howard/Dirk now that line up looks like 4 actual all stars to me...not this Pinstons foolishness.

Voted Harris. Not only he's more talented than Josh, but the WC is loaded with great forwards... Melo couldn't get in after a such a great year and now Artest is here also!

I'd go with Howard. I was hesitent because of the number crunch at forward but then I remembered that coaches tend to reward winning. Just look at the Pistons...there were better forwards in the East than Rasheed Wallace this year.
While Devin may have more upside, I expect that Howard will still be the better player next year. If we can get some seperation in the West by the All-Star break it wouldnt' suprise me to see howard voted in over a more accomplished individual player.

Yeah...but the Pistons play in the East... Don't forget that. The West is a bit more loaded...especially at the forward position.

Duncan
Dirk
KG
Amare
Marion
Artest
Kirinlenko
Brand
Gasol
T-Mac
Those are all stars who have been all stars in thew past year or two. Then you have "cusp" guys in the West who may one day be an all-star:
Melo
West
Randolph
It's going to be tough for Howard. Extremely tough.

Harris assuming CP or Parker don't make it one of these years.

Howard. Maybe as early as next year, but more likely the year after. Terry next year, people might start to realize that he's replaced a 2 time MVP. I think it will take Harris a few years before he gets allstar consideration.

I put neither. Dallas won't get more than 2 in in one year. And after Dirk, I think JHO is too inconsistant on offense, and Harris has to become a regular starter next year. But I guess Harris would have the advantage becasue of the pub he's getting right now. If Terry gets a few more assists, he'd be a reserve.
Now a lot of this depends on how far the Mavs go this year. ANd who steps up to get it done. Right now Harris is getting all the attention, but that could change.
