Default Dallas/Atl/Indy

Option A
Atlanta trades: C Theo Ratliff (7.7 ppg, 6.9 rpg, 0.9 apg in 30.1 minutes)
Atlanta receives: PF Al Harrington (12.9 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 2.0 apg in 30.6 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +5.2 ppg, -0.4 rpg, and +1.1 apg.

Dallas trades: PG Travis Best (3.2 ppg, 1.0 rpg, 1.9 apg in 13.1 minutes)
PF Antoine Walker (17.1 ppg, 9.4 rpg, 5.1 apg in 37.9 minutes)
Dallas receives: C Theo Ratliff (7.7 ppg, 6.9 rpg, 0.9 apg in 36 games)
C Scot Pollard (1.4 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 0.2 apg in 27 games)
PG Jamaal Tinsley (6.7 ppg, 2.3 rpg, 4.2 apg in 12 games)
Change in team outlook: -4.5 ppg, +1.4 rpg, and -1.7 apg.

Indiana trades: PF Al Harrington (12.9 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 2.0 apg in 30.6 minutes)
C Scot Pollard (1.4 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 0.2 apg in 10.7 minutes)
PG Jamaal Tinsley (6.7 ppg, 2.3 rpg, 4.2 apg in 22.1 minutes)
Indiana receives: PG Travis Best (3.2 ppg, 1.0 rpg, 1.9 apg in 29 games)
PF Antoine Walker (17.1 ppg, 9.4 rpg, 5.1 apg in 34 games)
Change in team outlook: -0.7 ppg, -1.0 rpg, and +0.6 apg.

TRADE ACCEPTED

Here is why it works.......

Dallas: Its obvious...get Ratliff and Pollard for Walker...hell yes...and Best for Tinsley is a no brainer

Atl: First and for most...they save ALOT of money. Harringtons contract is half of Ratliffs. Harrington also has a very promising future

Indy: Supposedly Bird is in love with Walker so let his fantasys come true

Option B

Dallas trades: PF Antoine Walker (17.1 ppg, 9.4 rpg, 5.1 apg in 37.9 minutes)
PG Travis Best (3.2 ppg, 1.0 rpg, 1.9 apg in 13.1 minutes)
Dallas receives: C Theo Ratliff (7.7 ppg, 6.9 rpg, 0.9 apg in 30.1 minutes)
PG Jamaal Tinsley (6.7 ppg, 2.3 rpg, 4.2 apg in 22.1 minutes)
C Scot Pollard (1.4 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 0.2 apg in 10.7 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -4.5 ppg, +1.4 rpg, and -1.7 apg.

Atlanta trades: SF Stephen Jackson (13.4 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 2.5 apg in 33.5 minutes)
C Theo Ratliff (7.7 ppg, 6.9 rpg, 0.9 apg in 30.1 minutes)
Atlanta receives: PF Primoz Brezec (1.4 ppg, 0.7 rpg, 0.2 apg in 11 games)
PF Al Harrington (12.9 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 2.0 apg in 37 games)
Change in team outlook: -6.8 ppg, -3.6 rpg, and -1.2 apg.

Indiana trades: PG Jamaal Tinsley (6.7 ppg, 2.3 rpg, 4.2 apg in 22.1 minutes)
PF Primoz Brezec (1.4 ppg, 0.7 rpg, 0.2 apg in 3.9 minutes)
C Scot Pollard (1.4 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 0.2 apg in 10.7 minutes)
PF Al Harrington (12.9 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 2.0 apg in 30.6 minutes)
Indiana receives: PF Antoine Walker (17.1 ppg, 9.4 rpg, 5.1 apg in 34 games)
PG Travis Best (3.2 ppg, 1.0 rpg, 1.9 apg in 29 games)
SF Stephen Jackson (13.4 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 2.5 apg in 34 games)
Change in team outlook: +11.3 ppg, +2.2 rpg, and +2.9 apg.

TRADE ACCEPTED

Same trade but Indy gets more in return and ATL saves more money *Jacksons contract isnt much more than Brezec though*

What are your thoughts???

Rotation

Ratliff/Pollard/Bradley/Fortson
Dirk/Jamison/Fortson/Najera
Jamison/Howard/Najera (Feel free to switch howard and jamison in different games)
Fin/Howard/Delk
Nash/Tinsley

this is one the best trade proposals i've seen. it makes sense for all 3 teams involved and fufills each team's needs. dallas: needs some beef in the middle...get that in ratliff and pollard. needed a backup PG...get a good, young one in tinsley. atlanta: wants salary cap relief...get that in unloading ratliff and jackson...and get a young star in harrington. not a bad front line with rahim, harrington, and mohammed. indiana: gets probably the most talented player in walker. they potentially may the best frontline in the NBA with artest, walker, and o'neal.

I must say, while on paper I would like to see more back from Walker, I think this trade would really help Dallas overall... We get two centers, both hard nose defensive-minded players, as well as a backup point guard that likes to run a fast-paced offense... It even works good for Indiana because they get a half-court point guard to play in Carlisle's system!!! Very intriguing trade proposal!

I don´t like either actually.

Neither Theo Ratliff nor Scott Pollard would be a significant upgrade over Raef LaFrentz, who we basically shipped for Walker.

Theo Ratliff is not a fit for a Dallas System imho, so giving up that much for him would not benefit the Mavs.

Pollard constantly fails to make any impact on whatever team he is.

If we trade Najera, Fortson, Delk for any I won´t disagree.

I really like this trade, makes sense for all teams and really addresses the Mavs' weakness. This is the first trade that I've seen where I wouldn't feel bad loosing Walker or Jamison.

I'd do either. We need to get rid of either Walker or Jamison and get some good roleplayers in their place. I'd rather see Walker go.

It seems alot of people on this board would rather see walker go.

But this deal is pretty sweet actually. Indiana MIGHT go for it but I don't know if CRAPLANTA would.....

Indy - Artest, Walker, O'Neal.....WHOA! As if the Pacers didn't need more help in dominating the LEASTERN CONFERENCE.

(personally, I'd rather Walker stay here and make some noise with the Mavs 'cause being with the Mavs gives him a LEGITIMATE shot at a championship, unlike being on an Eastern Conference squad where a Championship is nothing more than a pipe-dream.)

Hell yes ..I'd do it in a heart beat. IMO this is exactly what we need to get done in order to take that trophy. This trade addresses our weaknesses and makes us true title competitors.

Actually it appears to be fairly even among Jamison, Walker, and Finley

LOL! I put my vote down (guess who?)!!

But in all seriousness, I still maintain that Walker will opt out this offseason and sign a new deal LONG-TERM with the Mavs. Cuban is NOT Danny Ainge by ANY STRETCH. So that being the case, I think Walker could compromise in the exact amount the "new deal" would give him(Not the MAX but somewhat Less)....

Indy laughs at that.

Why would they screw up a good thing?

And Atlanta can't do a damn thing until their impending sale is finalized.
