Default Guess who said this?

***** calls for UN troops
From correspondents in Sofia
April 19, 2004

A SPOKESMAN for ********* has called for the sending of UN peacekeeping troops to Iraq and demanded the immediate withdrawal of US-led "occupation forces".

In an interview with Bulgarian television broadcast today, *********** said: "It is in the interest of the whole world to send peacekeeping forces under the UN flag."

The spokesman for ********** added: "The occupation forces must withdraw from the occupied regions...... The war will thus end.

John Kerry? Jacque Chirac? Robert "KKK" Byrd? Dick Clarke?

No it's Moqtada Sadr.

GWBush sees the need for UN involvement too:

From GWBush's comments with Tony Blair:
"This week we've seen the outlines of a new Iraqi government that will take the keys of sovereignty. We welcome the proposals presented by the U.N. Special Envoy Brahimi. He's identified a way forward to establishing an interim government that is broadly acceptable to the Iraqi people. Our coalition partners will continue to work with the U.N. to prepare for nationwide elections that will choose a new government in January of 2005.

We thank the U.N. and Secretary General Annan for helping Iraqis secure a future of freedom. We're grateful that Mr. Brahimi will soon return to Iraq to continue his important work. A free Iraq will stand as an example to the Middle East, encouraging reform and hope by demonstrating what life in a free society can be like. At the same time, we must also work to end longstanding sources of bitterness and conflict in the Middle East."

We've always wanted the UN to be involved. It's those cowardly bastards that keep voting down resolutions and evacuating personell once they see a little conflict. When the secretary general says that Iraq is better off with Sadamm in power, I tend to think the group isn't worth a piss. Fuck the UN.
