Boozer back to CLE, Shaq to Dallas

Mavs helps CLE clear 2M off their payroll right up front, to go with their 5.2M already available. With resulting cap room upfront of 7.2, they would only have to move one other player (such as Battie) to keep Boozer in town.

Dallas uses the deal to clear out usable but dead players

Dallas could then package Zyd in a Shaq trade if needed. If Shaq is not acquired, he helps for a year while the kids develop.

The deal with LA for Shaq might be something like Walker-Zyd-Howard. Two allstars (C, PF) plus a young guy with great upside. All contracts except Howard's little one expire after a year.

Nah, not in my book. I dont like Zyd that much. Take TAW and play him or sit him (for insurance). Take Fortson and play him too.

CLE isnt very excited about Zyd anyhow, from all reports. So from their angle they are getting Fortson PLUS BOOZER (and maybe TAW, if they want to use him) for Zyd. If they dont want TAW though, I keep my depth and look elsewhere

I'd do that any day of the week, but I have a hard time believing the Cavs would like it. However, both Fortson and Boozer are good/great rebounders...aren't they already one of the best rebounding teams?
