ESPN trying to create some drama...
http://sports.espn.go.com/dallas/nba...ory?id=6527457
"Dallas Mavericks backup point guard J.J. Barea made his choice CLEAR about who he'd rather face"
"I think personally, if I have a preference, I would rather play Memphis, I think," Barea said when asked which opponent best suited his style of play. "
Barea appeared to hedge moments later and didn't give an explanation as to why he preferred the Grizzlies.
"I'm just trying to put it out there and maybe pick one, but I really don't know," he said.
Yeah sounds like his choice is pretty "clear."

Well Barea should just keep his trap shut. I mean I rather face neither team, their both tough. Doesn't matter I'm happy to be here, half to the ring. Every person in the media asks this question. It's who bites. JJ bit.

He was asked on first and ten, and after insantance (sp) and them asking the question about 5 times he finally said something

Oh no, now Memphis is going to be super fired up to be in the WCF and they will beat us.

I think he's been saying it was over before each new overtime period. I thinks it's more a mantra than an actual point.

apparently you missed their soul crushing defeat in game 4, of which they will never recover.
edit: and before you bring up the mavs soul crushing defeat in game 4 against portland, they aren't the mavs.

I just recall so many proclamations of how it was over. I think that went on for about two hours.

One team he has to guard Russell Westbrook, the other he has to guard Mike Conley, yeah..... Tough decision for JJ.

is it me or are the fan getting a little cocky? I'm on the same boat that I don't really care who we play but I'm just hoping the mavs don't let up for some reason

Gag me with a spoon!!!! Especially from this view it looks corny, vs. what was actually on TV!!!!
Kind of reminds me of the photo of a Palestinian youth throwing rocks while about 20 cameramen are taking photo's...

That article is so funny, and if you hear the actual interview he sounds even less clear about his choice.

JJ was practically to forced answer....he was trying to be nice after being asked the same question over and over...me personally I would have told the guy to kick rocks...guess thats why I am not in the NBA

Typical ESPN trying to stir up nonsense. Funny how they say its clear, then you listen to the audio and read it, totally the opposite.
And yeah, why was Lebron crying last night? He's been to the ECF twice and the Finals once. Act like you have been there before dummy.

Really? I'm not in the NBA because I'm 5'10, weighing 280 lbs, and I have like a 2" vertical. Oh and lack that whole skill/talent element as well.
