Default NEW NBA RULE

There needs to be a new rule implemented into the NBA to where if a player is suspended for a dirty and flagrant foul then the team with the player that was fouled should have the opportunity to choose if the player that committed the foul should sit out the next game(s) that the other team plays or the next game against the team that was fouled.

For example:
Considering last night’s game, since Malone has now been suspended for one game because of a dirty play against the mavericks, the maverick’s management should be able to decide whether Malone should be suspended from the Lakers very next game of the season or from the Lakers next game against Dallas. This way there is more justice to a suspension than the possibility of a player making a dirty play and getting barely punished by being suspended from a worthless game against some other team.

Why start a new thread for this? You had this covered in the other thread and then you come over here and gum things up by repeating the exact same idea. What's the point?

Now I'm going to go propose, in a separate thread, a modification to this rule, allowing the aggrieved team to select ANY game on the offending team's schedule. They can select a crucial game against a division rival on the last day of the season if they so want. Now that would really make the Karl Malones of the NBA think before swining their elbows.

Then in another separate thread, we can suggest that these suspensions should carryover into the playoffs, such that if say Karl Malone had elbowed say..a Marcus Camby and Denver didn't make the playoffs, the Nuggest could still extract maximum punitive effect by exericisng their perogative of suspension against Malone when the Lakers had a crucial game.

In yet another separate thread, I will investigate the possibility whereby the Lakers don't actually face any crucial games in the playoffs, and the suspension can be carried forward into the coming season.

In another thread, we could discuss the possibility of Malone's retiring before even serving a suspension, in which case the aggrieved franchise could then select a replacement player to serve Malone's suspension

The possibilities are myriad.

Due to the obvious fact that the policy proposition I proposed in the other thread could be considered "off topic" you are provided with a perfect explanation as to why I changed this into it's own separate thread. Those that you have listed above are directly related to eachother and the subject of the thread therefore providing a perfect place to discuss such options. Also, if you could attempt to widen your mental capacity of a toddler struggling to come off a sever case of attention deficit disorder then you might be able to read long enough to stumble upon the answer of this ignorant question in that thread on your own, therefore providing me with a few minutes of my life and the reader's of this threads life that were now wasted by the non contructively pointless and dormant post you have posted on this thread.

And it's obviously generating a lot of interest.

Keep up the good work.

Funny that you are still having trouble scraping up some useful thought in your pathetic mind that may add to the purpose of this thread, if nothing else it provides great insight to your intellectual capabilities.

Cut the insults out. Not only are they unacceptable, they're inaccurate.

Very well, I suppose I have simply fallen into responding to a trollish post such as the one Mavskiki provided.
