Avery will definitely coach again. Now if he is successful, that is a different story. Here in Dallas, he was lucky to be handed a Finals contender with veteran players who already knew how to win in the playoffs. Shouldn't have been given the job just like that but that's another story.

To me, Avery isn't a very good X's and O's coach. And he always shifts the blame to the players when they lose but accepts credit when they win. Did that all the time here. Problem with him and he may get better as he coaches more, is he has 1 plan to win a game. When that plan is clicking and working, everything is fine and he looks great. But when that plan runs off course, he can never adjust in game to get something going. And he always had weird lineups on the floor and weird substitution patterns. Never seemed he knew what he was doing. Carlisle does. Also, he was very poor out of timeouts and we always seemed to never have enough at the end of games when we needed them.

True...but barely...he was 17-47 after firing Hill in mid-season before they drafted duncan.
