Salmons Non Pickup
What I would give to have John Salmons now...
Mavs look good now, but Salmons may have been enough to get to the WCF or beyond?

I'm sure he would help us a bit but watching him play in the CHI/BOS series is sometimes painful, he takes A LOT of crazy ill advised shots, and that's great if he's making them, like he did in game 6, but when they're not going in... then it becomes more frustrating than watching the old JHo. Although I would gladly take Salmons over that MJ wanna be "I'm the man" Ben Gordon.

I have a feeling he's only going to have a good year or two.

Uff...little bit too much a chucker. We could have used him badly during the stretches without Josh and Jet. But if everyone healthy im fine with Wright. But of course would be now also a nice trade-throw in with his MLE salary.

I wanted him too but the Kings are going to save a ton of money by the trade to the Bulls. Way more than Stack could of saved or any other Mavs player I do believe.
Net cap movement for the Kings: +$3.2 million this season, -$10.2 million next season, +$1 million in 2010-11, and +$6.6 million in 2011-12.

I haven't watched the guy play much, but his stats would indicate that he's not nearly as much of a chucker as he's shown in this series.
I would love to have him on the team now.

Salmons would have been a great addition to the Mavs, but Kings were the one holding the cards. They were patient considering offers and chose the Bulls trade which are the best deal for them financially. It's not the Mavs choice to pick him up or not.

Well, the Kings were willing to trade Salmons to us but they wanted Udrih to be included. We didn't want that, and thus, Kings looked elsewhere.
