Ok...WHAOH!
This has really thrown me for a loop. Murph and I have ALWAYS disagreed on movies. One of my first big argument with Murph was over King Kong.
And now I see this list, and Good Will Hunting, Braveheart, Shawshank AND Finding Forrester would all me on my list.
Wow. I'm shaken.
BTW, it's hard to whittle it down to 5, but Crimson Tide comes to mind as belonging in the top 5 for most rewatchable.
I like this topic. It is slightly different that simply your 5 favorite movies.
Edit: I just realized this is my 3,000th post. Gotta mark it for historical use.

I'm not a big fan of watching movies over and over. but there are a few that would be on my list (as a child of the 80's, many are from that era):
Hoosiers
Grease
Sixteen Candles
Breakfast Club
Some Kind of Wonderful (I know EVERY, stinkin' word!)

To those of you that love the Godfather movies... I'll be honest when I say that I can't make it through them. I've never liked the movies. I don't even know that I've ever made it all the way through the first one.

Shawshank Redemption
12 Monkeys
Unbreakable

I'll watch Dark City every time I come across it.
I watched Dark Star way too many times when I was younger.

that was a very good song, and that movie has one of my favorite quotes, "Yes, yes! we must all think for ourselves!!" and even one of my favorite Python discussions (about the different names for John Cleese's libertization organization). But The Holy Grail gets the nod for me because of Patsy's face when he's banging those coconuts together. Man, that's good stuff. And because some cartoons play trumpets out of their butts.

These wouldn't necessarily be my top five but they are the ones I could think of
The Cable Guy
Fight Club
The Sand Lot
Blade/Blade2 (I don't know why)
Tommy Boy

i kind of liked Stan's (Eric Idle's) insistence that his right to have a baby be recognized...and Brian's mom's statement that "he's not the messiah, he's a very naughty boy."
...but you make a very strong point about cartoons playing trumpets out of their butts. that is rather difficult to top.

I second Glengarry Glen Ross, Clerks, and Pulp Fiction. The last two I've probably seen 30 times or so each. Glengarry Glen Ross I haven't seen as many times, but still several. Freakin' tremendous film. It's so great on so many levels, and every time you watch it again you find something else to appreciate.
I will add True Romance and Waiting for Guffman.
