I know everyone is preaching patience with young josh - the athleticism is there - feel for the game seems decent. Just going to need some dedicated minutes to help him develop. I'd love for him to get maybe 4-5 continuous minutes/half with the 2nd unit or about 10/game with more if he plays well.

Unfortunately, he's probably on the wrong team to get consistent minutes in his rookie season. Carlisle is notoriously averse to playing rookies.

My point being, we probably won't really get a chance to see him develop until next year, and it will probably be year 3 until we actually know if he's any good or not.
