Whatever happened to Pavel Podkolzine "The Siberian Shaq"
Wasn't he suppose to be the next big thing? I literally haven't heard a word about him in like 4-5 years.

Maybe the "next big thing" in terms of sheer size, but from the day we drafted him most knew that he was the very definition of a project big man.
From what I remember, he just wasn't mobile enough to play in the NBA. Being tall is great, but lugging around that huge frame has got to be easier said than done, especially in a league where there are so many unbelievable athletes.

Doesn't he suffer from acromegaly? Probably doesn't play at all anymore by now.
