Before, during and after Thursday’s Mavericks practice, Michael Finley oozed confidence. And Mavs owner Mark Cuban was filling him with more.
“This was more of a mental practice,’’ said Finley of the session, which ran late after coach Don Nelson conducted extensive team meetings. “Clean up some things on offense, and on defense, torquing up some of the things we did wrong last time (an April 7 loss to Utah). … (Friday) will be more of a physical practice. That is definitely good news. I wondered it the team is confident or apprehensive. Any read on Dirk or is he always confident? |

Dirk does his hangin' with Nash... otherwise, he always has that Dirk-in-the-headlights look anyway.
