Playoff Pressure... lets look at the expectations of the Western Conf teams going into the playoffs....

1.SA they wont to regain their Championship & remove the asterisk from 99
2 SAC they must show CWEBB they are title contenders,,
3.Utah they arent getting any younger , the window is closing on Stockton/Malone
4.LAkers obviously they are expected to repeat. Can they put to rest all the off court drama to win a championship???? (Not!)
5.Mavs No pressure... Were in the Lottery last year..
6 Blazers they felt they were 15 minutes from a championship last year. Not to mention many roster moves in the offseason. They dont win this team could be broken up.
7.Phoenix perennial 7 or 8 seed every year. Possibly Kidd's last year in PHO
8 Timberwolves another perennial 7 or 8th seed each year. Long as they have a legit superstar in KG they will alway be 7 or 8. But without a 1st round pick for 5 years the future isnt so bright. Not to mention they will get Joe Smith back this summer & they paid a helluva price.

Good breakdown. I would be interested in your take on the East.

Utah and Portland will not win the championship inmy opinion. Utah is old and tired out. Portland cant figure out who to play at what time. To much talent and not enough time. Lakers wont win due to the Shaq Kobe Phil fued. I think san antonio will win it all, but I hope that we are there to battle them for the western conference finals.

Portland's been the posterchild for underachievers so far this season. If they don't turn it up in the playoffs, you can bet Trader Bob will be working the phones 24/7 come summertime. I know the Bradley/Booth combo is working pretty well, but I still wouldn't mind seeing Davis in a Mavs uni.

Yeah, that was a really good breakdown. I think the one team that will cause problems for everyone is Sacremento. They are just balanced all the way around.
