The Lakers have a pretty easy road to the playoffs. I think it will be difficult to pass them. Their scheldule:

@Boston
@Minnesota
Phoenix
Minnesota
Portland
Denver

They will definitely be favored in all of their remaning games. We have the same # of losses as they do, but they have 2 more wins. Personally I think it will be okay if we hold onto 4th place, although looking ahead to a possible second round matchup (after we dispose Utah ), it would be nicer to have Sacremento than San Antonio. But Sacremento is only a half game up on the Lakers, and they have a pretty tough looking scheldule ahead.

@Vancouver
Portland
LAC
@San Antonio
@Dallas
@Phoenix
Vancouver
@Denver

Definitely opportunity for the Lakers to slip in front of Sacremento (maybe the Mavs into the #3 spot??) Well, this is all speculation, and it really depends on how the Mavericks (with maybe a few upsets from other teams) do, what our positioning will be for the playoffs.

instead of "BEAT LA" chants i suggest "AVOID LA"....if we can not face the Fakers, we can win the west.
