Mavs at Heat Game Four - NBA Finals
Today is as good a day as any for the Heat to die. All of their dreams get flushed down into a 3-1 toilet as JET hits four three pointers, Josh pulls down 12 rebounds, the Big German scores 33, and Diop makes a highlight block on the aging Shaq-Daddy that will serve as one of the enduring images of this NBA finals series, as our Mavs win by a 19 point margin of victory that ends up looking much closer than it really was. This tired and flawed Heat squad was saved by a Dwayne Wade miracle in game 3, but sadly for Riley & company, the fun and games will come to a precipitous end tonight...
It's time to gut-stab these tired, decrepit, non-D playing Heat! More honest Mavericks steel for cowardly, yellow Floridian Bellies! Huzzzaaahhhhhh!!!!!!!

Dirk may go off for 50 after his "choke job" at the FT-line, actually.
but you know that in the NBA Finals, *nothing* comes "easy". This game will be hard-fought as it was in Game 3. It will come down to who gets *THE* defensive stop in Crunch time and who scores the Big-Shot.
In Game 3, Haslem got the big stop with that steal and Wade(Big Shots galore from him).
Who will step up in Game 4 for either team? I CAN'T WAIT!!

Beating the Heat had come to look so easy, by the end of the 4th quarter in game 3, the Mavs forgot they had to try.
Tonight both teams give Max effort, Shaq has his best game, but this time all the Mavs show up, AJ leaves KVH's weak ass on the bench and the Mavs rule.
Please Avery. Quis before KVH, even Powell. I'd take a few rebounds over Van Horn shooting every time he is remotely open.

I think the Heat have one more win in them before the series is over. This would be the game for them to win. After that, the Mavs win two straight, to win the trophy at home. I am looking for Shaq to have his one and only dominating game tonight.

I feel ya..no loss in the playoffs so far has left me this bummed out, except for Game 6 of the Semis.

Speaking of MightyWalker..... the Musers said that when the Heat performed their comeback that Toine was sitting on the bench. Insinuating that they are CLEARLY (hear that MT?) a better team with Championship Kryptonite on the bench.
Does anyone know that to be the case? Not that I don't trust the Gentle ones, but they have been wrong before.

All I know is that Walker can keep you in games if you are getting blown out, but he was probably the one who shot you into that hole to begin with...So the Walker giveth, and the Walker taketh away...or reverse that...

yeah, he was on the bench for most of it. I had noticed this as well.
lol...just checked the play-by-play
he missed two shots, miami calls timeout, Haslem replaces Walker with 8:30 to play.

I would play a five on four defense, letting Walker bomb from the arc until he hit more than two in a row. Like Raja bell in the WCF's. MAKE them shoot themselves out of it. And for god's sake, get Devin to play that same deny defense as Games 1 and 2 on Wade...

Anyone think AJ will adjust the starting lineup?
I honestly would like to see Damp starting to see if we can't help that rebounding discrepancy.
Also, when Devin has been on the court, I think his speed has been very useful against Wade. Wade doesn't seem to have the free ride to the rim that he does when Griff is guarding him.

Spiral, I doubt Dampier will start. He usually comes in about the 9:00 mark in the first quarter. And Diop subs in for him again at about the 3 minute mark of the first. Both centers have been playing half the quarter. Does it really matter which one starts? Avery has been doing the sub routine in the first quarter to keep them out of foul trouble and to keep their legs fresh.
This is one series that I wish he would play Marquis over Griffin. The Mavs need someone who can penetrate and score against Miami. Griff is pretty worthless against the Heat if he can't punish Miami from doubling Dirk. Marquis should be able to catch the pass when the double comes and immediately penetrate to the hoop.

What enticed you to say that? Game 2 is the ONLY performance you could make an argument for him but in Games 1 and 3 he has clearly been outplayed by Griffin.
