Default Phoenix???

If you were watching the Laker game(I live in Long Beach so thats all I get to watch) Jahidi White was doing a wonderful job against Shaq O'neal. He held his ground, against the 300+ pound Gorilla. And that was a lot of meat going at it in the paint. Even though the refs messed up on 2 calls, O'neal could of been easily fouled out. Plus the only reason Phoenix lost that game is because they couldnt execute their offense. And since offense is The Mavs middle name. My question is...

Is there any way we can get this guy during the off season???

(not like we need him cuz were still going all the way)

Jahidi White was in the midst of many trade talks before the trade deadline. At 6-9 290 he is short for a center but very strong and a tough competitor. Although he has been rumored to be on the block this offseason, I dont see them moving him. Furthermore, we may not have much to offer Phoenix.

Default RE: Phoenix???

I don't think so, at this point of the season, only if phoenix was to magically waive jahidi white.

EDIT: oh, you said offseason, sure..... however, he probably has a cheap contract, and he's somewhat effective against shaq. How many players can meet both criteria? Heck, forget cheap, how many players are as effective against shaq as him? Phoenix isn't getting anything on a trade that'll be better than what he brings to the team.

Why worry about trading for a C of White's caliber when there should be plenty of comparable FA options this summer?

White is at least 2 inches taller and 20 pounds heavier...than Fortson. He plays very well against Shaq...but here Nellie would never put him on the floor or he would jerk him back to the bench if he wasn't in the right place on the offensive end.
