Lonny Baxter was released by Toronto. Is he worth the Iceman?

Good question. Baxter was a great college players but often college doesn't translate into the NBA. We have too many four and five's on this team.

I was a little surprised by this move. The games I saw earlier, Baxter was the first big guy off the bench for Toronto. I haven't paid attention in quite a while though. I also realize that with that frontcourt that may not be saying much, but I thought he had earned his time. Is this more to this story? I guess it could just be a case of guys like Archibald playing better for O'Neil's system, or a guy like Michael Bradley getting healthy and starting to develop. I just can't imagine why a team full of guards (even though they are injured) would cut one of their only serviceable big guys. Oh well, I'm too lazy to look for a real answer...
But I don't think he's coming here. We already have too many guys like him. |
