The Official Ryan Howard is a Beast Thread
Ryan Howard has been crazy en fuego latley. 56 bombs, 138 rbi's and a .318 average is just crazy. NL MVP? When I mentioned this earlier in the season 5-0 said no way, but how bout now
I hope he keeps it up, he's on my fantasy team What a great 5th round steal!
Does anyone think he can beat Marris?

I hate you because I wish he were on my fantasty team.
The kid is nuts. Crazy nuts. He's probably the non-steroid home run champ by the time it's said and done.
I hope he keeps it up. I hope he beats Maris. (Doubtless he will.) I hope he hits 70. He's an extraordinary athlete.

I think he'll beat Marris this season, but I doubt he beats 70 this season. I don't think anybody will be beating 73 for awhile.
Edit: He's one of the main reasons I'm in first, I got him in the FIFTH ROUND

I said no way he wins the MVP either. At that time, Philly was out of the race.
Now that he's gone absolutely insane, and Philly is in the race for the WC, it's very possible.

Hes older than Pujols. I doubt seriously he ends up the all time home run guy. That will be Arod.

True, true. And good for him.
What IS the single-season record anyway? Boy, that mark went from biblical to inconsequential in a short time, didn't it?

Honestly I still wouldnt vote him for MVP right now anyway. Pujols still has better numbers and is a MUCH better defensive first basemen.
Better numbers=Better OPS, Better OBP, Better O2S, Better BA, similar slugging, More doubles things of that ilk.
