Cowboys/Redskins
So perhaps my heartfelt declaration after getting to 7-3 that the Cowboys were certainly going to the playoffs was a bit overstated. Every game is now the most important game of the year.
This... is not going well. I miss the days where we could go ahead & write 2 Ws on the board for the Redskins at the beginning of the year.

We've got a bunch of dogs on the offensive line...this is unreal.

Not quite. We've lost 3 of 4 but we beat the Chiefs last week. I didn't think we would win last week but somehow we pulled it out.
No playoffs AGAIN this year. I miss Chan Gailey

Anyone else able to read Bill's lips after McBriar shanked his second punt?
Looked like "That's his job.....I'll cut him"

Watching this team now feels like being on a sinking ship. Is so disappointing... but at least they are young. So many of our pieces will be here for a while & they're just getting started. They're still probably going to finish at least 9-7, which is where I predicted them at the beginning of the year. Is not so bad, at least we have hope for the relatively near future now.
Of course I think I'm only thinking so optimistically b/c the Stars & Mavs both won & I'm in a pretty good mood. That really was a brutal game.

The team needs to go back to the 4-3 for the next 2. They do not have the experienced linebackers to play the 3-4 now. They can't stop the run. The rookie LB's are not handling the grind, and they don't have Dat and Al to hold them up. Injuries have depleted this defense, as well as the offensive line, which has lead to major disappointment.
Love the Cowboys, but turn out the lights --- they can't compete with the talent they are currently putting on the field. Too many backups and rookies.

Looks like this team is going as far as Bledsoe will take them and he's going down fast. The defense has been fine. Defenses are going to have these type of games. They can't be relied on to save the Cowboys every game of the season. When these type of games occur its time for the offense to step up and they didn't. I actually thought for the first time since Gailey left we are able to actually contend for a title. Damn was a I wrong. I hate the Cowboys for teasing me like this all season long lol.

This team is going to end up with a record befitting what it is. This is an average team, and has been average ever since the injuries to Flozell and Henry.

Well to give the Cowboys a little credit those players are key pieces. As is Dat Nguyen. Maybe I underrated Flozell going into the season because this team is atrocious without him.

If you can't say something nice, then say nothing at all. With that in mind, I think that the Cowboys.......<fades to black>

This year? It'd take a minor miracle to get them in the playoffs at this point...

I haven't studied it that closely (yet), but I would imagine that 10-6 gets them in. They will beat the Rams. Now, if you are saying that beating the Panthers would be a minor miracle, I guess I can go along with that. But I like their chances. This spirited young team has shown some resilience. They just don't know how to win, enough--not yet. They have come to play in some big games that they should have taken but just didn't. To me, they get one chance to validate their season, and it's this Sunday. I think they will be up to the task.
