Basically said that his best series ever was the 7 gamer against the Spurs... Thinks this is the best team he's been on since he's been here.

The Musers go a little too generic with him. I like to hear people goof around with him and bring his personality out. I love his BaD interviews.

In general, Craig and Miller and the Hardline are all pretty mediocre at interviewing..
Dirk said that he's taking up the drums.. Dirk said that he might join Gordo's new band after the season is over.

"According to NBA.com’s Stats Cube, the Mavericks' clutch net rating (points per 100 possessions) in the playoffs is plus 73.91. That dwarfs their outstanding regular season clutch net rating of plus 25.12.
“Well, it helps to have Dirk,” Jason Kidd said. “When you have a go-to guy, nobody panics. You kind of welcome that atmosphere and that stage. We always are under control and try to make the right play. It helps to be able to go to a guy like Dirk who really welcomes that stage.”
Nowitzki has 25 points and no turnovers during those 19 clutch minutes. His true shooting percentage (which factors in the value of free throws and 3-pointers) during that time is an off-the-charts 82.5."

One of the hot topics as the Western Conference finals approaches is comparing the 2006 Dallas Mavericks to the current group that awaits the winner of Oklahoma City and Memphis.
The 2006 Mavericks went to the NBA Finals and many experts believe this team is on track to repeat that success.
Dirk Nowitzki, who is one of only two players that remain from the 2006 bunch, continues to possess one of the most potent offensive games in the league. On top of that, the 7-footer, who averaged 23 points and 7 rebounds during the regular season, has become a more consistent defender.
Comparing the Nowitzki of 2006 to the current 32 year old version has also garnered its share of attention.
While chatting on KESN-FM 103.3’s The Ben & Skin Show Friday, Nowitzki pointed out that his improvements in certain areas are just natural occurrences that come from experience.
One area where he can detect a slight change is in his leadership skills.
“I still pick my spots,” Nowitzki said. “I’m still not the most comfortable guy getting up there and holding a 15-minute speech, but certain things that I see, especially during the game, I address it sometimes with yelling, sometimes with just saying it.
“After the games sometimes I feel like I have to say something or before it and I pick my spots. I’m definitely more comfortable in that role than five-six years ago.”
During a lighter moment of the interview, Nowitzki reminisced about the time he walked in on former Mavericks coach Don Nelson sitting in a hot tub.
“Oh God,” Nowitzki initially responded after being persuaded to tell the story. “He actually was in the hot tub with his dog. The dog wasn’t running around, the dog was in the hot tub with him. … I don’t know, but it was awful.”
Superstars in the NBA usually have nicknames. Kobe Bryant is the “Black Mamba,” LeBron James is “King James,” Chris Paul is “CP3” and Kevin Garnett is the “Big Ticket.” Dallas fans have attempted to find a nickname for Nowitzki for years and the search has resurfaced.
After being called the “Ghostface Drilla” Friday morning, Nowitzki began to laugh.
“I like the Ghostface Drilla because I definitely look like a ghost,” Nowitzki said.
He added that he is a fan of the hip hop group Wu-Tang Clan , which has a member named Ghostface Killah.

One of the greatest Players in Sports History!
Dirk Nowitzki: 12-15 FG, 24-24 FT, 6 Rebounds, 4 Assists, 4 Blocks
"Nowitzki, he missed, I´m shocked!"
"Ladies and Gentleman, he´s human!"
"I'm naming my first son Dirk!"
"Can we just speed this up and count it as 2"

I really hate this "historic performance" BS.
Just one example....
freakin May 14, 2001
Dirk grabs 18 rebounds and scores 42 pts on .583% ... against "the best PF ever".
or 2002
how about the 33-16 series vs Kevin Garnett ?
or May 19, 2003
38pts-15rebounds against Duncan....
and so on... 50pts against PHX, 53 against HOU,....even the MIA series was a great performance. Too bad he played one on 5+refs.

25/10 throughout his entire playoff career is "great" and justifies the thread title change UD is rooting for. 48 points on 15 shots with 24-24 from the line is "historic".
We saw a historic performance tonight. It's BS to call that BS.

A few minutes ago I was in the cafeteria, when a random guy stood up and, noticing my Dirk jersey, started clapping, exclaiming "48 points, dude!"... great moment!
