Who's the Judge in all of this?
When a black comedian makes fun of white people, we hear laughter. When a white comedian makes fun of black people, we hear "Racist".
What part of this double standard is not understood?
Look I'm white, with major European background. I am more than happy to make fun of my roots. Changing French Fries to Freedom Fries was funny. Saying the White flag is the French National Flag is funny. It's also equally offensive, but nevertheless funny.
My feeling as a European-American is that making "Coward" jokes about the French is equal to making "N" jokes about African's.
Is it ever okay to make jokes of one and not the other? The answer is quite simply NO.
If you joke about one, then you must be able to joke about the other.
Comparing Bush to Hitler is highly offensive, and honestly, I don't see the humor in it. Yet, when someone demonizes Barrack Hussein Obama, they are labled racist.
Let me see, Bush has fought to help an oppressed people, while Obama has pushed to oppress people.
Which is closer to being like Hitler?
Groups like the NAACP to me are offensive. Do they serve for the advancement of ALL colors? They push for "Black" coaches, "Black" executives etc...but when is the last time that the NAACP has spoken up and pushed the NBA to have more European-American, or Indian-American or Asian-American players in sports? In the NBA?
When is the last time that the NAACP or ACORN has stood up and challenged the very people they represent to make a difference for themselve in themselves?
Obama represents Class Warfare, steal from the rich, keep for yourself and act like you give to the poor.
It's all about Socialism with Obama and quite frankly this is a "Pardon the pun" very dark day in America.
If I wanted to vote for Chance, I would vote for Ms. Rice to office, or perhaps JC Watts, or even Lynn Swan. My views are conservative and thus I vote conservative. Cultural background does not matter.
If we want to blame something, then point the fingers at the Media, at Society in general...perhaps these are what need a reality check.
My sincere apologies to those that I have offended and I accept the apologies in advance to those who have offended me. Hopefully this thread has opened up some eyes as to how horrible both sides of the aisle have treated and acted during this campaign...and I'm talking about Media and Voters.
I suppose it's like the old ARMS race. Perhaps it's time to offer a solution...You start calling out the people you agree with in beliefs when they cross the line and I'll call those out that I agree with when they cross the line. In the meantime, let's not attack our own candidates or those who honorably stand up for their candidates.
What do you say, are you with me?

Considering how many Republican posters we have around here, don't you find it a bit odd that NONE of them ever back you up on your rants???
(maybe you're not as in-touch with Republican Values as you think...)

I think everyone needs to take a piece of this chill pill and meditate on what a certain dragon had to go through to get this pill for us.

Ain't that the truth! I can't believe some of the things I read from this guy. Pretty much all of my family are Republicans and I never hear any of this crap from them.
At first, I thought he was just doing it to get a rise out of people, but I really think that he truly believes all of the stuff that he says. That just amazes me.

Well, I was focusing more on the part right after that where he gets chased into a dark, scary cave by an angry mob.
But as long as the Eastern European boy laughs about the wounds, it's not too large a price to pay to end racism, right?

Well trailer trash, crackers, hicks, hillbillies, west virginians, southerners, religious folks and as some would say anyone closer to the smokies are not protected people. I don't really think asians are very protected either since they don't rate for affirmative action, except for reverse aa.
What is interesting (but sad) is how bigotted the liberals are about this and joke about it. They are elitist snobs looking down on the "hicks". They think they are above it as they are busy making the same jokes to each other and the mainstream culture is in on it.

Maybe the republicans are working... It cracks me up when someone thinks that traffic on a message board (or lack of it) means something. Maybe you're not as in-touch with reality as you think.......Excuse everyone's life while they post for you.

Sounds about right to me. Against AA...you are a racist. Don't vote for obama...you are a racist...or a hillbilly idiot. Couldn't be that you think he isn't a good candidate.....Golly.
Can't get on board with the peace treaty however, it's too raw at the moment for everyone. Let the MAD begin (or continue).

Don't you see? If you are black and you vote for a black candidate it clearly means you are racist. Especially if you are typically associated with the opposing party, It has to be racism, it could never mean you have no faith in the other candidate.

It's like both sides understand the point of this message, but only for their respective parties.
I'm so sick of this meaningless banter.

The sad part in all of this...
Many support Obama because they DON'T support McCain.
Many support McCain because they DON'T support Obama.
Can we just have One candidate out there that we can actually support because we support them, period?
I don't like Obama because I don't suppor Democrats.
Outside of my distaste for the Democrat party, I only support McCain because he is at the top of the Republican ticket.
At the end of the day, I do however trust McCain, simply because nobody can debate his loyalty to the United States. He will do right by her.
Obama and the Democrats are more concerned with getting the approval of other nations. Please, I thought America was built on separating itself from other countries of the world. Distinguishing itself with its ability to thrive in a free democracy.
This is a Global world, but we must as Americans remain Independant from all other nations.
We've been dependant on other nations for Oil...now with Obama we want to be dependant on other nations for Political leadership?
For what it's worth, I hated Bill Clinton and to this I believe he is a huge reason we are in the mess we are in today. Does that mean I hate White's because I hate Bill? I truly distaste Pelosi, NEO-Liberal!!!
....
Well good morning friends. I trust that you will all have a great day today...my focus is on getting some good conservative work done...I'll try to check in when I can.

I really wish people in this thread would realize that everytime they point a finger and call XXXXXXXX : they have three fingers pointed right back at themselves.
I have figured out that everyone that is writing in this thread is an idiot (myself included) --- and this thread is the place that we PROVE it.
Good freaking Grief.

I clicked on the "horrible thread" tag, hoping to see someone's complete list of crappy threads. I was said to see only this one has been tagged so.

New addition to the racist gallery.

Jake Ford, brother of Harold Ford, Jr., on his independent race for the Ninth Congressional district seat against white Democratic incumbent Steve Cohen:
Though Ford says comments he made earlier this year indicating the 9th District should be represented by a black candidate were misunderstood, he did say, “As far as I’m concerned, black people should vote together as a special interest group. If that makes me racist, then call me a racist all day.”
