Nothing wrong with Whitten his QB is just a mental midget. Romo cant play under pressure from good teams. He is a good player under pressure from sorry teams, there is a difference.
I cant think of a single game in his career against a good team playing under pressure in the crunch in the last two minutes of the 4th quarter.

Looks like we have to win-out now...
Gonna take 7 in a row to get where we want to be!

I think the Cowboys have the chance to be ok, it's a tough loss but the season isn't dead by any means. I still kinda stand behind my point pregame that a win was massive but a loss can be sustained based off injuries and the matchup.
You could tell one of the teams was living on borrowed time though, there were some major mistakes/slip-ups going on and no one was truly taking advantage of it. Eventually it was going to bite someone and cost them. That huge 47 yard bomb for Holmes woke up the offense. They didn't tear it up after that, but they got some rhythm out of it.

I think two wins still gets them in.
The Giants looked like a poopy diaper today so...there's definitely a ton of opportunity.

Yeah, that seems to be what I was thinking for the Romo haters right now...if it's not him, and you don't think he's going to fix it: who do you want as the QB of this team?

Just because we don't have an alternative to Romo doesn't mean he isn't a freaking mental midget. There is a reason he wasn't drafted. I believe that was it. Blast away.

The first and final INT's didn't look like Romo's fault, but he certainly played poorly.
Overall just a colossal choke job. Looked like they played a prevent-type defense on the last drive, which was idiotic. Can't turn the ball over like that and expect to have many chances to win.
I think the Cowboys are still alive for the playoffs, but tonight confirms for me that this team just doesn't have it. Even with the injury excuse, there's just too many dumb penalties and too many dumb turnovers.

I think you guys are just knee-jerking. The defense actually showed some backbone tonight. Besides, you are gonna get in the playoffs as long as the Redskins continue to crap in their mouths.

Shag, where you been man? Missed your classic posts.
I think it was Witten's fault on that last INT. He didn't even look back. Did he think he was running the hail mary? I don't know, he had that cold wind-burnt look on his face and arms, like all he wanted was to get indoors quickly.

Last INT Witten ran a curl route. Think you mean the 4 and 10 play.

Are people seriously hating on Romo? That is ignorant.
When you get a QB like Romo you hold on. You hold on for dear life.
(Even if the only reason he's on your team is because Q-Car got himself cut, and if he hadn't Romo would be on the end of someones bench or selling cars.)

Well, it is rough to see Romo make some of the plays he did tonight. Even with two of the INT's not really being his fault, he was awfully bad tonight.
But yeah, the mental midget stuff, the wondering if he's good enough...whatever. He's one of the best QB's in football.

You have to look at some of the posters leading the charge against Romo before you get in a state of disbelief. They may be xperts on the provision of resources (such as granting a loan) by one party to another party where that second party does not reimburse the first party immediately, but not on quarterbacking apparently.

There's nothing more that I hate in the NFL than when teams go to the prevent defense after dominating with their normal defensive scheme. I know the reason why they do it, but it still never really makes sense to me considering how many times the prevent defense gets burned.

Did he play poorly? Yeah, but it wasn't all on him and don't forgot the opponent.. Let's give a little more credit to the opposing defense. The Steelers D is a lock-down defense. They'll pressure you and force you into mistakes. I'm willing to suggest that maybe the Manning Brothers are the only two QBs this year that had average-good/great days vs that Defense. It's not an indictment on Romo that he had a bad game vs the Steelers IN Pittsburgh...

I disagree. The offensive line kept him clean for most of the game, and he was simply missing people...by a mile in some instances.
He forced several throws, including one that should have been an interception in the endzone.
He was bad.

Well for the most part, I was talking about the INTs and how they weren't totally all his fault. I would think at least 1-2 of them weren't on him.
I agree he was bad...but it's not like he was playing a soft D. I just think it needs to be put into perspective and remember the situation as a whole.
Flaco, Eli, Peyton, and I think Fitzpatrick are the only QBs that faced the Steelers and didn't give up multiple picks. Now his percentage as a whole...that's probably has him in the lower level for opponents this year with QBs facing Pittsburgh, I agree with you there he just didn't have it zoned in on that part.

He looked like he was throwing a block of ice. There were two or three throws where I couldn't figure out who the intended receiver was.

I too hate the prevent defense with a passion. A commentator during the Giants-Eagles game said the prevent defense only prevents you from winning.

So what do you guys think it was then? Weather, re-adjusting to the ball without a splint, a f'up of a day? I thought I heard Pam mention coming out from halftime that Wade didn't think Tony was comfortable with the weather situation.
I'm just thinking of random things.

Here is what I think. It was obvious the cold was bothering him.... but he was too thick headed to put on a long sleeve shirt because he made the comment about it being fall weather, or whatever.
I love you Romo. But take care of your arms. I won't think any less of you.

I agree with the sleeve thing as I was thinking the same thing in the first half. I kind of figured he was going to put the sleeves on at halftime so I forgot about it after that. He did seem to have some trouble figuring out how to adjust his game in the cold.

Weather my ass. He stunk it up out there, made bad decisions and basically played like crap. Only saving grace that he was elusive when he wasn't fumbling the ball.

I see two bitc*** approving messages...LOL
Romo is a mental midget to the highest degree. Same people that call Howard a mental midget claim Romo is not a mental midget. Go figure. Romo cant win big games, simple as that. Not a soul on this message board can prove otherwise, no stats back up him winning big games. The Cowboys are cursed with mental midgets at qb and head coach. I hate to see the boyz come to this with so much talent.

The problem with blanket statements like this is that you define what a "big game" is. This is a big game but last years Green Bay game wasn't right?
