The As are on Fire thread
The As have won 5 in a row and 8 of the last 9. They spanked the rangers with Esteban Loaiza on the hill and a pretty solid effort from Volquez and even a homer from the much maligned Hank Blalock. If they can win with all of these things, there is no way the rangers can beat the As. The As will win the division.

Yeah, last night I declared the Rangers officially dead. The Rangers have to go on an amazing run by their standards, and the A's have to play fairly badly by their recent standards for them to have a chance.
Then there's the problem of the Angels. and I bet the Mariners take a couple from them too.... Soo sad Rangers. At least they got us to NFL pre season with a gilmmer of hope still left.

Well crap. I thought i had a successful jinx going for a while and then even in the ninth i thought it had a shot. I have never seen a game end like that. BTW yes this was an attempted jinx.
