Official: Dallas Vs. Seattle Preseason Football
Romo gets the start, throws a nice pass, and it is immediately dropped. Nice start.

Boy, the defense looks sharp, though! Love seeing Ellis make plays in his new position. Also enjoyed seeing Henry on Burleson like a terrier on a pantleg. This defense is going to be stout!!
Man, I'm glad it's football season. This is just fun, fun, fun.

Definitely loved the defensive stand. Nice moves by Julius on that short out. Romo looks pretty solid so far.

There are few things in life more comforting to me than watching Terry Glenn catch a ball downfield.

Hurd dropped the first one, but he's had a couple of nice grabs since then.

I just wanted to point out that this thread only has two people talking to each other.
And that is not at all depressing.

Lol...sexy TD, indeed!
Maybe others will join us, Chaff. But if they can't be bothered to watch Tony Romo's coming out party and the first time this year's Super Bowl champs take the field...well, screw 'em!

I think it was an ok start. A "revin up the engines" kinda drive.

Boy, we dominated the ball that quarter. What did they run, three plays the whole quarter? (Well, five, now.) I don't know, Windmill... An 89-yard drive where you overcome 1st and 25 and hold the ball for ten minutes before your up-and-coming QB absolutely threads the needle for the touchdown is a fine drive, indeed!

Hey guys. So glad Cowboys football is back. Not a bad start...good to see the offense bounce back from the messy first series.

Ugh. Cut to commercial..."Parcells and the Cowboys lead this one."
Give me a break.

I'm about sick and tired of seeing Abram Elam take returns away from my boy Tyson Thompson.
Well, I guess we need to see what the kid has. But still!

Pat Watkins with a nice couple plays there. Fantastic special teams tackle, followed by great run support. I hope the Hawks don't think they are going to run it up the middle against us.
I predict Skyler Green doesn't make the team.

I thought Romo looked pretty good. Wonder if he'll come back out... Hope Terry Glenn is okay.

Nice half, for the most part. Nice to see Pepper Johnson get to the quarterback there.
Now I'm ready to see some more wide-open offense in the second half. Would they PLEASE put Tyson Thompson in??

We've been awful in the first pre-season game for as long as I can remember so this is a nice change.
- I'm not as high on Barber as Bill is. I'd like a guy that size to be a little more elusive. Hopefully Julius can run the ball like he did against Carolina and keep Barber on the sideline
- Nice half by the offensive line (besides the penalties). Not a lot of running lanes but Romo was able to stay in the pocket and complete passes.
- I'm still wondering why we don't rotate Ware. He's called the weakside linebacker but he rushes from the right side (and by extension, against the teams best tackle) every play.

Our defense is going to be nasty this year. Having a 270 pound linebacker adds another demension to the run defense.

But don't you think Barber was really good in the red zone last year?
Anyway, that's neither here nor there. The RB situation will be fine. The important question is: what do you think about Tony freakin' Romo!!?!?!

I hope Jamaica Rector makes the team, just so I can hear his name over and over again.

Glymph has been tearing it up in practice. Maybe practice squad material. Our LB core is going to be tough for him to crack.
Then again, someone may be traded...

It's so great to have football starting up again. I'm still really anticipating the next Mavs season, but this makes the time go by quicker. The goal for my Niners will be to not have the worst record in all of football, and they did look good in their first preseason game, so maybe they'll have a decent year. The 'Boys look strong, but I think it's between the Panthers and Seahawks in the NFC.
