And no one will question it now because the Mavs made it to the playoffs.

IF Parsons and DWill did not get injured and they were still playing, we are the 9th seed without a doubt. Carlisle had NO choice but to play Anderson and Mejri.

Now that Dwill is back I fully expect Carlisle to go to his comfort zone and we wont see a lot of them. Or as much as we should to have a puncher's chance.

Rick was trying to win that game, but unfortunately Rick thinks playing Zaza 29+ minutes is a way to win, despite him being our worst +/- guy.

We look like a completely different team when a shot blocker is in the game. Mejri played great against the Thunder in 2 of the games so he has to get most of the minutes. I wish Rick wouldn't have given up so quickly on McGee but I have a feeling he isn't even an option anymore.

He'll go with Zaza in the playoffs until it's too late for Mejri to make an impact.

Mejri should have been starting since those two Portland games when he blossomed.

Mejri is one of the reasons why I wanted the Thunder matchup. Westbrook's game changed when Mejri was playing and became primarily a jump shooter.
I hope Rick remembers the incredible impact he had on those games.

When westbrook stops being able to drive he becomes Kobe. He even forgets about Durant and bogarts the ball while jacking up jumpers. It's why the Thinder have had so many 4th quarter collapses

EXACTLY!!! Westbrook is the straw that stirs the drink. He has to be kept from going to the hoop. Mavs cannot afford to play Zaza, Lee or Dirk at center when he is in the game. Mejri should play when Westbrook is on the floor. We know that RC won't play McGee but the smart move would be to use both shot blockers against the Thunder.

One was about Zaza. The other was about Matthews. They play different positions and were used for different amounts of time.

Of the last 14 games, Westbrook has had seven triple doubles while OKC has an 11-3 record, so don't think all he does is jack up shots. I do agree that Mejri has a greater effect on the game over Zaza, but gotta give the devil his due also (RW). I also think the Mavs have the best shot, however slim, against the Thunder. I think the rest of their team is actually fairly weak in either skill or mental toughness.

The word is out on Mejri in the NBA. Players look for him when they go to the hoop. Any move made to reduce his drives to the basket improves the Mavs chances. It would be interesting to know what percentage of RW's points during those 14 games came from drives to the basket.
