We already have that trio.
When was the last time McGee saw some meaningful minutes? A month ago?

I'm repeating myself here: Wes Matthews is an overrated defender. He's good on the ball but is such a ball watcher and gets back doored or loses his man at the 3pt line repeatedly because of it. Can't believe we're paying that guy 17mil. He hit some clutch 3's though

Carlisle on benching Zaza: Im not going to discuss to the press how I talk to players. Thats none of your business...
I love Zaza and want him here (for the right price and a backup), but his flaws are starting to show. Hes been overplayed.

They are more apparent when Parsons is in the lineup as it's been pointed out. The starting lineup hasn't been too great since Parsons got healthy and Felton went to the bench. I'd like to at least get a look at Mejri or Lee starting and Zaza coming off bench with Felton. If nothing else just to take a look, I mean anything to stop these early game funks.

Happened in Milwaukee too. He played way too many minutes so far this season...

Doesn't hurt to give it a try... And I'm sure Rick would prefer to insert a heady, seasoned-pro like Lee into our veteran starting lineup.

@tim_cato: Wes Matthews didn't like that fans booed in the first half. "For those of you who left early, I hope you got stuck in traffic."

Lee was an 18/9 guy just two seasons ago. He can play. Won't fix the defense, but he can play.

Kinda sad that we've entered the AAC booing stages of this team.
Also a risky thing to say. Not like Matthews has exactly killed it this season.

I said it when Lee signed... He really hasn't lost anything.. Just needed a change of scenery.

Lee looks like he can really help this team. Still has a good motor and immediately becomes the most offensively gifted big we have after Dirk. Spacing should be better than with Zaza. And even though he isn't the quickest guy himself, Lee IS quicker and more versatile than Zaza defensively which should help for cross matching purposes and even closing on long two and 3 point shooters.
Lee olays smart and hard and wants to be here. Looks like MBT got this one right, regardless of where Kevin Martin lands.

Yep, Lee definitely can still play at a high level. I don't know if he's a starter anymore (or at least maybe not a full-time starter) with his suspect defense and lack of shooting range, but he's a welcome, high-energy addition to the bench. It's frustrating to watch him blow defensive assignments as often as he does, but he's also here at basically the league minimum salary... if he was a good defender he'd still be an All Star.
It'll be interesting to see what his price tag is this summer... I'm fairly certain he'll be too expensive for us (unless we strike out in the big man FA market, in which case we shouldn't spend what we do have on Lee) but I'd welcome him back in this role at a reasonable salary. Seems highly unlikely he'd be back here though.

Maybe we can cut the guy some slack on blowing defensive assignments considering he's been with the team for 2 games now? He was very vocal on defense last night. Hopefully that means he's catching on quick to what the team is trying to do defensively.

Went to the game last night. When we got down by 21, one of the fans in my section yelled "you guys know you're playing he Nuggets, right?"
It was a really weird game. The offense in the first half seemed to be basically: dribble the ball until you realize you can only get a highly contested shot, then miss it or pass t someone with 2 on the shot clock.
Then there were times in the second half when we just looked like a completely different team with an efficient offense finding great shots. I'm not entirely sure what changed.
I wonder if Lee gets Zaza's minutes like this on a regular basis or if this was experimental or getting him acclimated.
It seemed like every time I checked we had three point guards on the court.
Certainly glad to get the win, because if we had lost this game I would probably be questioning our ability to hang on to the 8 seed.
