The Spurs would do this to play in a better arena and to move to a cooler climate.

Good one, I needed some humor after last night.

Instead of trading rosters, I'd settle for trading forwards with Portland - take those troublesome thugs off their hands.

Dallas trades: PF Antoine Walker (17.3 ppg, 9.7 rpg, 4.8 apg in 37.5 minutes)
SF Antawn Jamison (14.8 ppg, 6.7 rpg, 1.2 apg in 29.6 minutes)
PG Travis Best (3.3 ppg, 1.2 rpg, 2.1 apg in 14.3 minutes)
Dallas receives: C Vladimir Stepania (2.1 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 0.6 apg in 9.8 minutes)
SF Rasheed Wallace (16.8 ppg, 7.2 rpg, 3.1 apg in 39.9 minutes)
SG Ruben Patterson (6.9 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 1.4 apg in 21.2 minutes)
PF Zach Randolph (23.1 ppg, 11.7 rpg, 2.5 apg in 39.4 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +13.5 ppg, +7.8 rpg, and -0.5 apg.

Portland trades: C Vladimir Stepania (2.1 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 0.6 apg in 9.8 minutes)
SF Rasheed Wallace (16.8 ppg, 7.2 rpg, 3.1 apg in 39.9 minutes)
SG Ruben Patterson (6.9 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 1.4 apg in 21.2 minutes)
PF Zach Randolph (23.1 ppg, 11.7 rpg, 2.5 apg in 39.4 minutes)
Portland receives: PF Antoine Walker (17.3 ppg, 9.7 rpg, 4.8 apg in 25 games)
SF Antawn Jamison (14.8 ppg, 6.7 rpg, 1.2 apg in 25 games)
PG Travis Best (3.3 ppg, 1.2 rpg, 2.1 apg in 23 games)
Change in team outlook: -13.5 ppg, -7.8 rpg, and +0.5 apg.

TRADE ACCEPTED

Sorry, I can't see the San Antonio trade---didn't you notice it makes us worse in scoring, rebounding and assists?

(Not to mention, it's a whole lot of effort for a one game improvement in the loss column--I don't see how Dallas could have gotten to 19-10 by now unless you traded schedules as well)

I would have nuked myself if I had posted this in earnest. I remember posting this when we were only a couple of games over. 500.

West top 5
2-2 Lakers winning the last two (Series tied)
2-0 Sacramento
2-0 San Antonio
2-1 Minnesota
2-1 Portland
1-0 Houston

We're on top of all of the top 5 in the West (plus Portland).

East top 5
1-0 New Jersey
1-0 New Orleans
1-1 Milwaukee
0-1 Detroit
0-1 Indiana

We need to win the last one on Detroit, and a tough one in Indiana and we will come out even on them. We already split the series against Milwaukee earlier this year. We are one game up on New Orleans and New Jersey and can sweep them if we win on their courts.

Actually, EL, as absurd as it was..it beats most of the other "TRADE IDEAS" that I've seen around here..

Keep that flamethrower on your hip !!!!!

I'm not sure if everyone noticed...BUT..for the rest of the season...we can't do worse than 2-2 against the other "Top 4 Teams" in the West. And that's nice. Very nice.

Go, EL, go...

I'm your athletic supporter !

So would you trade rosters with the Indiana Pacers just because they have a better record?

I like what Hansen always says, I rather watch the Mavs lose playing the way they did against Sacramento rather than watching them win playing like most of the teams in the Eastern Conference.

We are not only lucky enough to have a good pro-basketball team in town, but they are the most exciting team to watch in the league.

TRADE DECLINED
