Default wiliams trade

Brian (Dallas, TX): What are the chances that Dallas acquires another big body? Who might it be?

Marc Stein: Mavs are looking at Scott Williams, who's no longer needed in Phoenix.

sounds kinda interesting. with bradley backing him up i think that this 2 man center rotation couls work. RealGM wouldnt let me pick scott williams for some reason.

S Williams would have to be put on waivers by Phoenix. He is not tradeable, by the rules, at this point.

That COULD happen, if Phoenix and Williams both wanted to do so. He would be a backup to Bradley, not a starter.

I've made my feelings on Scott Williams known in other posts. I think he would be a pretty good fit here. Nellie has always shown some affinity for veterans who know how to play. Scott certainly fits that description with all of his experience. I think he could be a Popeye Jones type guy (if he could have gotten healthy) who could help out when needed. He's sure not the kind of guy to back down from the tough guys in this league...
