I saw the light long ago. Giving Portland your best players doesn't win a championship though.

Let's get back to what I was talking about though: skillsets.

NO has:
PG that can run things, defend a little, and score and Big time slasher.
SG that defends well, and can score a little.
SF that is a massive outside shooter and has size.
PF that can get inside points and has size
C that can defend the rim, and get put backs.

Dallas lacks the big time slasher, and the player that can get the easy inside points.
They have lacked these two skillsets all year.

Dallas wins it with Team ball, instead of Individual ball, when they can get these skillsets.

JMO, but Dallas last shot at the title (with Dirk) comes from putting an inside threat who can defend the rim, and a good slasher beside him. Slasher could be one of many like Magette, Richardson, etc. Inside guy is harder to come by though.
