Chucky Atkins can't hold EITHER JET or Devin's jock. All series we should be going right at him when he's in.

Overall, the Mavs have played real well.

Good game tonight..
As you can see, the REAL x-factor is Marquis Daniels. Give him playing time and he will produce. The coaching staff seems to forget this if he has one bad game.

Damp is really doing a solid job on Pau tonight.
Reggie needs to look up from what he's doing in Gasol's lap because he is not watching this game.

Great win Dallas. Really wasn't that close. I hope we get another announcer on Wednesday. Because I had to mute my TV.

Good job, boys! Good game. Sure there were shaky parts, but every team makes a run & I like how they came back in the 4th & just took it to the Grizz. I'm pretty satisfied. Just keep it going.
BTW? Could the NBA not find a way to somehow stretch the first round to a full month? I'm so disappointed they could only get it to 3 weeks. What they should do is only have a game a week. *rolls eyes*

Great game tonight!
Daniels really stepped up today with both Harris and Howard struggling. That was great to see. A pretty good indication of how well Daniels played tonight is his defense on Mike Miller. He made Miller work for everything he got out there. My favorite moment of the game: Quis makes the finger-roll layup on a fast break, Memphis call a timeout, and both Harris and Howard sprint to half-court to mob Quis. The camaraderie between those three is great.
Some of Stack's shots were questionable, but overall, I liked his game tonight. I tell y'all what, that 'tude that Stack brings is a nice thing to have for the playoffs. His ability to get to the freethrow line was big tonight.
Adrian was Adrian, which is great because we know what to expect out of him game in and game out. He was big both on defense and on the boards.
Dirk put his stamp on this game very early. Crucial because otherwise the Mavs would have been fighting from behind in the first half. He certainly was the MVP of this game.
As they have practically all season long, the Damp and Diop combination came through again tonight. I loved the ovation the crowd gave Damp, and I imagine Damp liked it as well.
I thought Jason Terry was big tonight. Not only offensively, but his defense was outstanding. He has certainly grown from the day he first put on a Mav uniform.
As mentioned earlier, both Harris and Howard struggled out there. Of course, it was mostly due to injury issues, but I'm pretty sure the butterflies got to them as well. Neither logged many minutes so I expect them to play much better in game two.
Lastly, I absolutely hated the TNT broadcast tonight. Did it not seem like we were watching the Memphis Grizzlies' broadcast team? I know it's always fun to root for the underdog, but man, that might have been more biased than Ortegal and Followill are for the Mavericks.

Great win Mavs... I JUST GOT BAK FROM WORK...
I tried to follow the score on my cell but for some reason it went crazy and said tht we were in OT with 12 mins left...and i was like OT is 12 mins???

Just to show you the chemistry the young guys have - I was at the Flyers game last night. As most of you know, Rawle has been sent down to the Flyers. Well, after the game, I was standing there talking to an old friend. I turn my head and suddenly I'm staring at Marquis Daniels and Josh Powell, who were there presumably to cheer on their buddy Rawle. It was a pretty cool moment. I wanted to go up and wish them good luck, but I choked.

Great game from just about everyone. I feel a whole lot better after seeing Devin play through the game with no problems.
I think my favorite part of the game tonight was seeing Dirk and everyone chest-bump Damp, and seeing him actually bump them back.
Just a great way to open the playoffs.
