Mavs get win # 1 against the Tail Blaze if:
Dirk plays
DWill plays
Anyone can hit Lil'Lard's with a baseball bat covered in barbed wire 20 minutes before the game begins...
...my faith is fading, but I still believe, because of Dirk's wise words, "It's frickin' four games in," Dirk Nowitzki said after Wednesday's 97-81 setback at Utah." Then,
Mavs - 105
Tail Blaze - 103

Everything says that we'll be 0-5,
but something in me says that we'll go off. Curry and Anderson combine for 30. Barnes is solid on 18-9

I am concerned with Lillard but Matthew might be able to help out there a little.
A bigger concern is that Aminu will go of for like 40 pts and 10 3s

Interesting stance from D-Will. In Brooklyn he seemed to sit as much as he could. He seems to be more focused this season but we will see how long it and/or his health lasts.
Hopefully Mavs will show some defense for a change. At the moment one can only ponder what shrooms was Carlisle taking when he said defense has improved over last season.
In terms of Bogut and his future, I find it hard to believe he gets 15 or more a year in his next season. Nobody wants to pay a center who plays ~20 minutes a game and especially during this fast pace small lineup era.

Rick might just be trying to light a fire under Derons ass or just going by what casey smith says.

Yeah, that is what I was thinking too, though it would be easier if he'd just come out and call hm a fatso, like he did with Parsons.

I don't think his conditioning is the problem though...just the effort. The lazy passing has to stop.

Honestly, Deron seems happy, and I don't mean this in a good way. He is... content. He likes to eat, he likes to make shots, but he is just not a very motivated NBA player at this point in his career. I mean, he had to be very driven at some point, otherwise he would have never made it to the league, but that fire is gone, that's for sure, otherwise he would be in shape. I do find thim incredibly fat for a point guard, but maybe that's just me. He is in good shape compared to an average Joe, but for an NBA point guard? Guy has no definition, whatsoever.

Team has to get motivated. Mavs need their fans out there. Cuban better be having tickets half off.

At 9 min in the second we've now lead for more of this game than we've lead an opponent in the first 4 games combined

The problem is that we kill out momentum every time and then expect to be able to regain it. If the guys are hot, let them play.

Problem is our starters suck. The bench is hungry.
