Rumor: Bryant being moved to KC for 3rd Rounder
Newy has been talking about it all morning. He says that Big Bill is definitely trying to move Bryant...but he's not sure KC will be willing to give up the pick since they have a losing record right now.

Does Carl Winslow really know what he's talking about?
I am not really familiar with Scruggs' work. When i moved away Scott Murray was the man.

RE: Rumor: Bryant being moved to KC for 3rd Rounder
That sucks... It really looked as though he was making very good progress and to trade him for a 3rd pick when we took him with a 2nd, (even though it was a late 2nd), just doesn't make sense to me... The only thing I can think is that he is causing trouble again due to the lack of balls thrown his way, (1 catch Sunday)...
This trade would truly suck for Dallas!!! I must say, I am getting pretty tired of watching Bill throw talent away because he can't get along with them or doesn't like them, (Ross, Edwards, Stewart, and now Bryant)!!!

RE:Rumor: Bryant being moved to KC for 3rd Rounder
Bryant is talent. Talent this offense obviously needs right now.
If there going to trade him for a third rounder, why not just trade him for someone who can help this offense and possilby get along with Tuna all at the same time...... someone like Jerry Rice who was traded for a conditional seventh rounder.
Give Oakland a choice of 7th rounder or Bryant for Rice, who would they take? Nuff said.
If true, this is bad management that will haunt the Cowboys.

Good question? IMO, he has the skills to be very good, and the attitude as well. But I have a feeling that the "attitude" is clashing with Mr. "Just throw me the d!@# Ball himself".

RE: Antonio Bryant Traded
From DMN
Quote:
Bryant dealt to Browns for Morgan
12:33 PM CDT on Tuesday, October 19, 2004
By JEAN-JACQUES TAYLOR / The Dallas Morning News
The Cowboys have traded receiver Antonio Bryant to Cleveland for receiver Quincy Morgan, said Peter Schaffer, Bryant's agent.
He declined further comment.
Bryant had one catch for 22 yards in the Cowboys' 24-20 loss to Pittsburgh on Sunday.
Morgan, who played at Kansas State with Cowboys' defensive back Terrance Newman, had just three touchdown receptions in 2003 but caught seven in 2002.
Bryant caught six passes for touchdowns in his rookie season, 2002, but did not have any this season.

Browns | Bryant Acquired from Cowboys - from www.KFFL.com
Tue, 19 Oct 2004 09:59:54 -0700
ESPNews reports the Cleveland Browns have traded WR Quincy Morgan to the Dallas Cowboys in return for WR Antonio Bryant.
--------
I wish the Texans would have grabbed Bryant. That would of been a great addition to run along Andre.

I heard he refued to come out of the game on Sunday, costing
us a penalty of having 12 men on the field.

If this is true, I can understand a bit more the Jones/Parcells decision to part ways... Wow... Get your head on Bryant!!! (Again, IF this is true)!

RE: Antonio Bryant Traded
Jerry is just putting a postitive spin on things... Bryant will be the better player by the time he is 27 and it sucks that we had to lose him because of his mental toughness... With that said, I just hope Morgan becomes a consistent contributer in our offensive playbook!!!

Morgan has had better numbers than Bryant and he was in a similiar situation. I will hold judgement until the end of the season at least. Sike, Parcells has nothing to prove to you. Despite how highly you value your own opinion, ANYONE in the NFL will tell you that Parcells IS one of the top 3 NFL coaches in the league. I would trust him with roster and personel moves with his team long before i would trust you.

I can believe it...Morgan is a hell of an athlete. Saw him play basketball in high school (against K-Marts B.A. team) and he was jumping out of the gym. If the Cowboys ever have a slam dunk contest (it could happen), put your money on Quincy.
I don't think that he has the upside of Bryant, but we'll see. At some point you have to cut ties with an insubordinate player to save face if nothing else. Hard for me to fault Bill when he stuck with Bryant after he threw a jersey in the his face.

FCC, why dont you answer my PM?
Regarding what you just said to Sike, I would only contribute the fact that he is not the only one raising his eyebrow on this move... Bryant is 23 years old and was making great strides this year... He has a super high ceiling and great potential... Has he had a big year like Quincy? NOPE, but that is in part to the time he has been given on the field...
From where I stand, Cleveland got the younger, better player... I guess only time will tell though!

Morgan 27(2001 draft): yards: 2056, games: 45, avg: 15.5, long:78, td: 15
Bryant (2002 draft): yards: 1549, games: 37, avg: 15.6, long:78, td: 8

i just answered it Dan, and i agree Bryant is younger and has more potential, but lots of players have potential, thats why i believe this one like u said is a wait around a see deal.

The comparison still isn't there because one is older and more mature than the other... Like I said, Bryant will be the better player when he is 27 years old IMO!!!

derrick ross has zeros accross the boards statistically for the Vickings (bad D), except for 2 tackles.

I was actually being sarcastic with our current situation at DB, but I would welcome him as well as Edwards back... They both were further along than any other option we have across from Newman, (though Williams actually suprised me last week and played a solid game)!

RE: Antonio Bryant Traded
I think Ross AND Edwards AND Stewart AND Bryant were mistakes, (all of which were made due to Parcells personal feelings getting in the way)!!!
We will have to see about Bryant and Stewart, but I believe it has already been proven last year and this year that we could have used both CBs on this team!!!
