Default General Trade Question
I've only been on the board for about a year...and I've heard alot of wild rumors and speculation on the board since I joined.

But, I have a question for those of you who've been here significantly longer than I have: Has any speculation on this board ever become manifest? Has any proposed trade ever really happened? Has any wild rumor come to fruition? I know nobody saw the Walker or Jamison deals coming down the pipes - but what about the trades that preceded those?

Has anybody ever "called it?"

Just curious...

With all of the speculation that goes on daily, I would guess virtually every trade has been sniffed at in some way.

Actually, there have been two (big ones) since I joined d-m...and both came out of left field...no one had a clue they were going to happen. I just wonder if that's always been the case?

I think the Walker trade or something similar had been proposed before. Yes, there was a trade trashing him before he even came here.

the jamison trade actually was on this board before but with other players involved . i think it was something like jamison and dampier for la frentz, nick and najera.

i remember that...but that was just as much about getting dampier as it was jamison...so i don't really think we saw that one coming.

Actually...the Denver deal was talked about a little due to some buzz from Denver sources, but noone really hit it here before that.
