Luka deserved pretty much every foul he got called for. Dude is an elite whiner too. Incredible offensive player but he has a long way to go defensively and mental toughness.

OB play calling is fucking horseshit all season. Down 1 and we need to run the exact same bad play, and then run it again after it fails? 100% was going to lead to a Luka hero 3 or a pass to another guy to shoot a contested 3. Spread it out and get Luka on the block. We are down 1 point. It's a clear advantage, if they bring help find another open man to pass it in to.

Keep Josh Green's name out of trades.

Ship Dorians ass out of the starting lineup up and out of town with the usual suspects. He'll, move his ass out of the starting lineup and use Green instead.

I looked through the schedule, 33 games left 24 of those will be against teams that are at worst 1 game below us record wise. IMO it's unlikely without a trade we'll make it.

Big picture is we don't have any business being in the playoffs, as constructed. We aren't a team that has long playoff droughts where we can just be happy to get in and get throttled in the 1st rnd or play-in. We are a team that has a win now superstar offensive player surrounded by garbage and a cpl rough diamonds.

I really wish gullible folks would stop paying for tickets to the games. Maybe Cuban would get back in his pockets like other teams.

Keldon Johnson on Spurs looks like a star. He averages 20 points a game. Maybe after the 2023 nba draft, mavs can throw a ton of picks to the Spurs to get Keldon Johnson to pair with Luka. And re-sign Wood.

I'm not buying into the DFS hate as some have seemed to...the guy is still a very good 3&D type on a fairly friendly deal. The perception of him sucks as he's being asked to guard 1-5 without any other defensive help save for maybe Green when he's in. This team defense is asking to switch incredibly too much, and I'd like to see more man or even man-zone. For as many open threes the Mavs get on offense, they give it up tenfold on the defensive end due to this switch everything scheme.

If Luka isn't embarrassed with his FT shooting yet, I hope last night was a nice eye opener. Surprised he even made the first one...at least he kept going inside when his outside shot was clearly broke early on.

Also, refs called that many fouls because the defense was slow and lazy. I didn't see but a few that might be bitched about (foul on Powell comes to mind).

Dinwiddie once again can't run the offense for shit. He's a glorified 2 guard and that's fine, just stop trying it so much. Hell, Green runs it much more fluidly.

I fear the FO is going to bank on returns of Wood and Maxi, see a nice little run and punt the trade period. It's glaring that they need another ballhandler/facilitator and rebounding. Not correcting FA mistakes now will only compound them as this season moves on.

Called Johnson out of college. He was Kentucky's best player with one of the smoothest games I had seen in a while. Joe Johnson type of player and would fit on any team.
