What is up? Is anyone else having the same issues I'm having?

I can't get the ticket on the AM or FM dial.... so I went to audiocast it is silent.... I left it running and after a few minutes commercials played.... a few played and then silence again.

I started the webcast at the compound and it's stuck showing and island in a kitchen but no audio and no peeps... just the kitchen shot.

Apparently they had to go back to the studio this morning. The compound is back up and running now I guess.

Things are a freaking mess in Addison....I was sorry to find out that we indeed to have power here at work.

I wish somone would just punch Gordo in the mouth.

He's complaining about being picked on in the compound.

So today...the web cam is behind the radio?

It's been ahead of it all week.

Is the ticket aware that you can barely hear anyone from the studio from the webcam feed? It's been annoying me all week.

Gordo still hasn't returned to the compound.

I would absolutely hate him if I worked at the Ticket.

Weird guy, he can't take a punch and he can't even commit to this bit?

And why does he always think everyone is against him? Why is he so secretive about his family? There's so much Gordo love everywhere yet it seems like all he sees are enemies.

Gordo didn't return to the compound until 10 last night, and he left for good at 5 today while everyone else is waiting until 7.

Everyone is really pissed about it. Even Craig, his butt buddy.

Gordo is inherently sorry, that's all there is to it.

Is Gordo married anymore? I swear I haven't heard anything about his wife in forever. I figured that lady had to be about the coolest woman in the world to put up with Gordo all day long.

One of my co-workers went on the "girls night out" that he hosted late last year. He's still married and he also had a second child that he managed to slip past everybody.

Did anybody see this nugget in Barry Horn's Thursday column? Whey would they even think about breaking up BAD radio? If this is true, Dan can't feel good about it.

----------------------------

A vote for Sturm: I didn't get the e-mail directly from Ticket programming boss Jeff Catlin, but he did send it out this week. Catlin polled devoted listeners about a potential new Hardline co-host. The best of the litter is Bob Sturm, who seems a natural for the prime-time, drive-time show. That move, of course, would force a retooling of BaD Radio.

I actually got that email, but I apparantly found it too late to vote. When I clicked the link it said the poll was closed.

It doesn't make sense that Sturm would be one of the options, the email I got said to choose the favorite +1 that had joined the Hardline recently.

I bet is Horn speculating as to who the options were.

I don't know how others feel about it, but I think Dan is the worst part of the Ticket. A Sturm Hardline would be something interesting to try, but Bob and Donovan are a killer combo that I would hate to break up. Bob and Donovan's Old School Hip-Hop hour this week was amazing.

I would welcome the opportunity to hear more of Sturm, and in the prime time slot. I really like BaD radio, but I think most of that is due to Bob. When Bob is on vacation I find Dan and Donovan very hard to listen to.

I think the chemistry between Bob and Dan is pretty darn good. Dan does have some funny lines/bits, but it only really works because he does have a Sports Sturm working alongside him. Sturm clearly is a lot more versatile and could succeed anywhere, but I do think Dan complements him well as the less serious "funny" man to the serious sports guy. And of course, Bob is a good enough sport where he can put up with Dan's antics and thrive in that situation. I really would hate to see The Ticket break that up.

Really? Wow, I don't think I was ever aware that he had a "first child". Well, good to hear that his family situation is going well. I always wondered how his wife takes it when he jokes around about his "mistresses" and such, but I guess she is a good enough sport to know that's just Gordo's bit. Of course, if she has been married to Gordo for this long, I guess she figured that out long ago.

He actually talked about his first daughter on the air up to a certain point. There were some really good segments about him being a new dad. Then, one day, he decided to no longer talk about his family life and has done everything he can to keep all the personal stuff off the air. I get the feeling that everybody at the station knows that this is off limits.

One morning he got into it with, I think, Fernando who in turn threatened to mention his kid or something about his family. It was as tense as anything you've ever heard on the ticket. Finally George and Craig had to step in to make sure that the line wasn't crossed.

I am really starting to dislike him.

He's so protective of himself. That's not what the Ticket is about. God forbid anyone make a Gordo drop, God forbid he say anything that could remotely be used as a drop. What's the big freaking deal?

And he just left the compound. What a dick.

And when he's mean to Norm, I want to punch him in his face. He just likes the attention, good or bad.

See, it's not meant derogatory towards her. He does this to protect her. He's very afraid of nuts knowing that he has a wife and kids.
That's why he calls her "his girlfriend" whenever he wants to bring something up about her. He thinks he's Letterman surrounded by crazy stalkers. He has become Howard Hughes.

I couldn't see any of the options, the poll was closed.

I found a thread on this at bobanddan.net. It sounds like all of the guys that have been +1 for a full show were listed, like Followill and KScott. Also apparantly listed were Doyle King and yes, Bob Sturm.

Weird.

I voted for Followill.

I don't think that will happen though because his commitment to the Mavs is too strong. He would be dumb to give that up for the Hardline shift. But mostly that's the only reason I will listen to the Hardline anymore is when he is the +1. It has gotten horrible.

You know, I listen to Norm very rarely now. And in the small doses I generally hear him in I don't mind him.

But listening to Norm for extended periods of time, listening to his and only his opinion, and listening to him talk to all callers that disagree with him as if they've lost their minds is very, very grating.

I just listened to him do a segment on the Mavs where he rambled through three or four different sub-topcis and never really made any kind of point.

That show is in desperate need of a co-host.

Anybody listening to Bob and Dan? Dirk just bought Gurbes' house about a month ago.

I couldn't hear all the details due to sombody bothering me about work but it sounded like the house wasn't even on the market. Dirk was in the area house hunting and liked it so he offered double the value.

Grubes never said double, but he apparantly paid well over market for it.

And obviously it was Grubes' parents house.

Pretty interesting story.

My question is if the Grubers still refused to sell, could Dirk have declared eminent domain and just taken the house?

Well they did say that Dirk waffled on their asking price for almost a year before actually buying it.

Dang I missed that story.

Did they know it was Dirk who was trying to buy it?

Seems like you would do that anonymously, right?

Apparantly not. Grubes said about a year ago Dirk was looking at a house on the market in the area, saw his parents house and decided he liked it, so he asked them if they'd sell it (though his realtor, obviously).

Sounded like they knew it was Dirk making the offer all along.

Hmm....doesn't make much sense does it?

"Hey Dirk...umm...this house costs errr....13 million dollars. I know you're good for it."
