Doc is saying "F you" to all DM posters with this. He expects us to believe a story so full of holes that it wouldn't have a chance of floating on water. Then he cops this attitude of not caring what we believe (which by the way makes his story EVEN LESS believable.)

If Doc wanted to come back and apologize I would have been cool with it. I liked Doc while he was here and like many people developed a friendship with him. Coming back with this bullshit story and this contemptuous attitude means to me that all his bridges here have been burned. Goodbye to bad trash.

The more I think about it, the more unlikely it is that this is a serious study, it's probably like an experiment (a bad one of course) without much value (entertainment value included).

It's a bit like studying the behavior of naked men in a dark room, and one of them is the observer himself who studies who is playing with whose 'dirk' and nobody knows who is who and the observer actively manipulates the whole thing (you know, it's dark right? nobody knows, right?).

And now they are studying the reactions of posters in this very thread...

Aren't there any other subjects to study out there, like save the world or something?

Simply put, a guy working on his own thesis in Biology is not serving as an outside reader for some kid's master's thesis in Applied Community Theory. Furthermore, there is no reason Baylor would use non-faculty as an outside reader in the first place.

Sorry to see your meltdown, Jess, but the lies do catch up to you eventually.

Well, I suppose it's somewhat believable that someone would post under someone elses account... My old roommate screwed around on my account one weekend and posted a couple of things. I suppose that's what I get for keeping d-m.com open all the time.

But in general, there's no porn..no Lost talk..no Mavs talk.. no Rangers talk..this thread is boring.

the following should be followed by the "Free Cat" and end the discussion.

Ock·ham's razor also Oc·cam's razor (kmz)
n.
A rule in science and philosophy stating that entities should not be multiplied needlessly. This rule is interpreted to mean that the simplest of two or more competing theories is preferable and that an explanation for unknown phenomena should first be attempted in terms of what is already known.

Honestly, the story was too long for me to read. I saw that it was more than just a couple of paragraphs and skipped it. There's really not alot of people on this site that I'll give more than a couple of paragraphs to...

This is just beyond weird. First we have a thread about Doc and Chums feud that takes off, then a thread about when Doc's coming back, and now this. Too weird. My head hurts.
Anyway...
So anyone want to talk about the Mavericks. They're this basketball team you may have heard of.

I've never had a problem with any of the Doc(s) or whatever. I've been without the internet since Tuesday, so I'm only getting a vague idea of what happened. Whatever happened, who cares? Its the internet. I go on realgm all the time and talk out of my ass just because there are so many dipshits there. Doesn't mean I actually believe what I write.

hrmmmm interesting. too be perfectly honest i dont buy a damn bit of this explanation and yes i was one of the ones who found doc entertaining and at times helpful. however for the purposes of argument lets say that this explanation is legit. Assuming that is true, im glad that whoever these guys were got the research they needed. I would have gone about a different manner in getting it but it doesnt bother me one way or the other and getting a masters is alot of work so if they did that much work congrats to them and if hoodwinking us into thinking some random guy on the internet was someone we thought he wasnt then i dont really care.

I don't know if it even matters because anyway you cut it there is a potential problem. Either Doc was making all this up or he allowed all of us to be part of an "experiment" without our consent. But here we go. I was perusing the Baylor site to look and see if the IRB protocols were posted for the public (I couldn't find them), and I came across a faculty member in Sociology who in fact studies the similarities and differences between virtual and real communities. She's published a paper or two on the subject and they offer both a Masters and Ph.D. in Sociology. So, I guess it is possible.... but who knows. Anyway, for what its worth.

interesting.

while following one of alexamenos' MULTITUDE of links to the picture of two scantily clad lesbians kissing ...
(for some reason, I follow that link EVERY time... will I never learn that all there is at the end is two scanily clad beautiful women kissing? )
http://www.dallas-mavs.com/vb/showth...ter#post666703

... in a PREVIUS thread about how much sombody thought drbio was a chump (unrelated to THIS thread bickering about drbio's chump-hood) I found this exchange beween drbio and kg_veteran (bottom of page 1, trough top of page 2)...
