Default PGT: Mavs beat Spurs

Ellis/Dirk/Parsons looked sharp.

We had too many TOs tonight, but we actually out rebounded San Antonio for once...

The pace in the 2nd half was incredible. Glad the Mavs pulled one out.

At least I was close about Monta getting 40

Great win...lets hope this gets the team going...I haven't seen them hustle on D and move like that all year.

The hustle and getting to the floor on defense was new (Stoudemire, Rondo, Parsons etc.), like it.

Early 2011: trade Terry. He's too short, too unathletic, too poor defending and a me-first chucker

Late 2011: Terry is a god.

Parsons is adapting much more compared to first half of the season. He did the little things to help.

Let's not be myopic. Mavs should let him go, unless he'd be willing to come back as a 6th man (which won't happen).

Green, Matthews, DeMarre Carroll. I'd target those three, re-sign Rondo, and possibly re-sign Tyson (depending at how long a contract he wants...he has not looked good at all recently).

It was a great win and I'm glad to see Monta have it all again.

I found it interesting that Rondo only got 27 minutes despite JJB being unavailable, Harris coming off an illness and Felton turning his ankle during the game. I'm not saying he had a bad game, but if you're looking for clues on what the mavs will do next year, it's hard to see them giving Rondo big money if Carlisle won't play him down the stretch in a big game.

So you want to replace Ellis, who is our main lane driver/attack the basket guy for spot up shooters? Who will be constantly driving in the lane for us?

great to see Monta still being able to penetrate, if he wants to. He totally is a different player, when he´s attacking the rim. Doing that he gets confidence. Don´t now another player whose shot depends so much on his level of confidence..

The Aminu save, which led directly to a three by Dirk might be my most favourite play of the season so far.. that was awesome

Aminu makes his presence felt as soon as he steps on the court. His hustle and intensity is off the charts.

I didn't get to watch the majority of the game, but even in the portion I saw (plus highlights), it looked like I was watching a different Monta Ellis than the one that has been playing for the Mavs for the past month or so. His explosiveness and speed was too much for the Spurs to handle.

Where has this guy been, and can we ask him to stick around for the postseason? If he does, this team could make some serious noise.

All he needs to do is develop a 3 point shot and hit his FTs. Hes still very young.

Hopefully we see him more aggressive on drives. But he was also hitting lots of jumpers. Thing is, thsee past 3 games are Monta in a nutshell. That's how he keeps his percentages where they are. I still love the guy but his 2 previous games were 7-31. He can be amazingly cold or can't miss a shot.

Discussed it some on Twitter, but I think we may be a year (or maybe less) away from Parsons being the Mavs' best player. Right now I still think it's Tyson due to his incredible game-to-game consistency when healthy, but I think we may be having some incredibly positive conversations about Parsons come next January or so.

I really hope Chandler really has another gear in him on defense. Not that he is bad, but his rim protection was better weeks/months ago.

Terry never had god status for me, even after 2011. Because he almost fcked it up again at the end of game 2 with his gigantic brainfart, allowing Chalmers to hit the three...

it looked like I was watching a different Monta Ellis than the one that has been playing for the Mavs for the past month or so. His explosiveness and speed was too much for the Spurs to handle.

Where has this guy been, and can we ask him to stick around for the postseason? If he does, this team could make some serious noise.
Exactly. Spurs had no answer. He looked like a completely different player than he has been in the last month. If he can have this extra gear in the playoffs, the playoffs could be a lot of fun for the Mavs.
