Up 40-20 after one. It's making me feel not so bad about our series each time they do this.

Makes Nash's D look good against Mike Bibby, eh?

Seriously though I hope the Kings keep it up. If the Kings are our model then what does it say about our model if they can't win?

Walton says some goofy stuff a lot of the time but this was a jewel:

"Lindsay Hunter is starting to make Devean George look like John Stockton."

Not clutch:

-CWeb's 2 personal fouls in first 5 minutes, followed by foolishly going for a shot block on a jumper by Fox. Webber actually blocked the shot, but came very close to picking up what would've been his 3rd foul. Tell me that wouldn't have changed the complexion of the game. Fortunately for the Kings, they're used to playing (and winning) without him, and were able to eak out a 40-20 Q1 lead.

-CWeb's awful, running-in-mud bounce pass attempt (that landed out of bounds) to the open Bobby Jackson on a fast break that would've pushed a 15-point lead to 17. Lakers come down and hit a 3-pointer to cut the lead to 12.

Clutch:

Bibby coming down and hitting a 3-pointer to re-up the lead to 15.

Please, please save the indignant yowls of protest about what a superstar CWeb is, and how he isn't gettin' props. The heart of this year's Kings in the playoffs has been Bibby.

Will CWeb come out with a monster 40-point effort in Game 5 as the Kings close out the series? Maybe. But it won't be a clutch effort, since the hard work in the series will already have been done and the Lakers will already be demoralized.

Will the CWeb aplogists proclaim him a superstar and say he's finally proven himself a winner? Of course you will. <Yawn.>

Will I still think he's a big old girlie-girl drama queen? Of course I will.

Q4: Lakers have closed a 24-pt lead to 7. Chance for clutch players to step up. Redemption or ridicule?

Kobe is such a whiny bitch. He cries more than any player in the league. Even Phil Jackson yelled at him to shut up. Hilarious!

That was probably one of the most clutch plays I ever saw. The shot wasn´t that heavily contested but the Lakers were down 2-1 in the series, down two in the game with no time left on the clock. Talk about pressure. Yet Horry seemed to be totaly relaxed and confident, he knew he was gonna make it. That´s clutch!

That was one depressing end. Such a CLUTCH shot by Horry with time running out.

Quite knockin Webber, he hit a couple baskets to stop the bleeding. I'd look to ft misses for one of the reasons the Kings loss this game today.

The Lakers shouldn't have Horry on the team, he's the only nice guy on their team and he decides the games for the LASuckers, Horry should've stayed in Texas!

<< "Just a lucky shot, that's all,'' said Divac, who had 23 points. "You don't have concentration. He just threw it up. If it goes in, it goes in.'' >>

What a cheesy comment by Divac. Bah.

Very lame comment...Horry is right up there with MJ and Reggie in terms of clutch shots in close playoff games.

Sorry Vlade, but in this case, you need to shut up.

Divac made some poor decisions in the last couple of seconds. Yes, i know you don't have alot of time to think but why did he just not grab the rebound?

and he must be aware of the situation. Tipping the ball out towards the perimeter WAS NOT a smart decision.

The Kings didn't perform well down the stretch. This is what lost them the game.

However, Divac could have saved the game with some intelligent split-second decisions.

Webber did hit a clutch shot in game 3. However, he continued to make poor decisions down the stretch in game 4.

It is his history. No, it's not based upon a couple of games.. or a couple of series. It started while at Michigan and he has done nothing to disprove it since turning pro.

Had Divac just tipped the ball within a couple feet the clock would have likely expired. Damn hard way to lose a game.
