@danspeak_: Promote the Mavs Orlando summer league team to the eastern conference.

For those who missed it, it must be noted that the Mavs team that won the Orlando Championship was seriously undermanned. Four of their top 6 players had already caught a plane to Vegas for the Summer League there, and our starting 2 guard got hurt. I think we had only 3 players available besides the 5 starters.
PG Dwight Buycks continues as the Mavs best player. But the game gave space for Ding and Motley to shine. After looking totally lost in his first 2 games, Motley really looked like he was starting to figure thinks out. He's a very active big with quick feet ... after missing almost everything in past games, he showed some ability to make shots around the basket, and in overtime, hit a 15 footer for the game winner.
I think this is the first Summer League team I've seen that didn't suck since Roddy B.

Only been able to watch the Orlando team here and there, but I really like Ding. He seems to have a great feel for the game, unmatched aggressiveness, good vision, good shot. Someone compared him to Nico, but I don't see that. To me, he plays like a more offensively polished DFS.

Smith needs a lot of work on defense, but man is he going to put people in the sits with his one man fast break stuff.

Not a fan of that last possession, was hoping he'd try something going to the rim

Yeah they're throwing a hard double at him every time -- they won't be able to do that when Dirk is the one setting the picks.

Smith definitely looks a little lost and low energy. Gotta get more focused.

I actually think Dennis looks quite comfortable running the offense. On the other hand DFS looks like he's never been on a court before

Yogi looks good -- polished, controlled, and stroking it. You can see his maturity and basketball development.
Both of our PGs are better than Cameron Payne lol.

Yeah no, DSJ looks good with the ball in his hands, but I'd like to see him a bit more active when he doesn't.
