Observations on Nashville
I just returned from a music conference this afternoon. I love the town - it's beautiful and replete with talent. I heard a friend there once say it's the only place in the world where:
a) the average age for interns is 30+ b) the guy mowing your yard may be a former grammy winner. That being said, the music was great. I got to see an all-star band including Kris Kristoferson and Rodney Crowell do Cash tunes together...but the highlight was seeing Ricky Skaggs and his ass-kicking bluegrass band (Kentucky Thunder) at midnight at 12th and Porter (Friday night) in front of about 100 people. Unbelievable.
