ATL does this b/c Shareef & Ratliff both want to be traded. Walker's salary will come off the books next year AND they get prized young prospect, Josh Howard.
I know nobody wants to trade Howard - but he may be our most tradeable asset. He's young and inexpensive. If you're going to ask another team to dance with you - you've got to make it appealing to them.
