Being outrebounded 45 to 27 is just plain ridiculous. David Alderidge mentioned on NBA2NIGHT that the Mavs are exploring their options with Juwan Howard. We really need a rebounder like Ben Wallace. The doubled our rebounding for crying out loud!!!

dirk didn´t get an offensive rebound in 3 games!!! how can damon stoudamire catch more offensive rebounds than the entire dallas squad? didn´t see the game, but if this rebounding continues, dallas won´t survive the first round.

which is part of the problem at times..the mavs don't play dirk on the low blocks enough..with his athleticism and height, he would be able to get offensive rebounds...but when nellie has him out on the perimeter on offense most of the time..the opportunities just aren't there. plus, he does need to be more aggressive.

however, rebounding has been relatively solid as of late (with the exception of last night).
i think last night had more to do with tired legs with some guys that could use a day or two off

Agreed Murph,

It's hard to get RBs down low when you are sitting on the peimeter. But that is where Dirk is most effective for now.

Last night's game was about a good preview of the playoffs as you can get. Portland has talent but internal issues that keep them from pulling it all together. In addition to a big "3" of Pippen, Wells, and Wallace, they have Dale Davis on the boards.

Pippen looks good against us. Of course, now a lot of teams are getting psyched up when it comes time to play the Mavs.
