dallas sleepwalking on both ends. impressive to be this awful at home against a bad team that blew you out by 34 after an embarassing loss to a divsional rival the night before.

The mavie Mavs suck so bad right now. It's tough to watch. How did they ever win 33.

uh actually no one is "defending" villanueva. that's the problem. but dirk and damp are both getting abused by him.

Going into all-star break I wouldn't have thought HOW far away the Mavs are from where they want to be. Today's game is already looking like too many games before.
Still, a lot of ball left to play.

we could NOT get dirk out of there soon enough. He looked more awkward and helpless than Bradley.

Dirk has been off again in the 1st quarter. Carlisle is actually taking him out due to him being useless, not so much to rest him.

Can anyone explain the Dirk thing to me pls.
Also why only run one play for him per quarter?

I think so too. Normally, Kidd would go out first and Barea would come in. Then Dirk rests. However, these past few games, he has been pulled out earlier than usual.

not a lot to explain. Dirk's moving slowly, awkwardly, and just going through the motions out there. He has no confidence in anything he's doing out there, and his head doesn't look like it's in it. He didn't rotate on a pick and roll and gave up a wide open layup. He wasn't moving towards the ball. There's something visibly wrong.

a win should be clear. in my opinion kidd/carlisle should give nowitzki some shots, so he can find his confidence...

dirk gets torched off the dribble by charlie V and has absolutely no help behind him
jho with the sweet drive and dish and active work in the passing lanes.

milwaukee announcer: "did you see a reluctance to score by dirk there?"
"it looked like he didn't want to shoot the ball!"

Charlie V has shot more times in the first quarter than Dirk did the whole game last night. That is Dirk's problem the last 3 games. He is reluctant to shoot the ball.

If Dirk finishes this first half with 4 shots, the coach has lost his mind.
