So no fine or suspension for KG for shoving the ref away. Shocking.

Even in light of the Lakers' recent struggles I'd still take OKC over LA in a playoff series ten out of ten times. We beat them twice on the road this season and Dirk got his knee injury in the second of those two games, missed the entire 2nd half and we still won. The only loss against OKC this season came without Dirk and Caron and we still only lost by 4. It just seems that we match up very well with them.
Chandler's averaging 12.7 points and 15.3 rebounds in those three games and would probably have a field day against Krstic and Collison. Durant's been pretty good in those games as well, but Marion has proven that he can be effective defending him.
All things considered, I think we couldn't ask for a better opponent in the 2nd round and I'd be much more confident against them than LA or the Spurs. Not to mention that I'd love to avoid either the Spurs or the Lakers instead of having to face both of those two teams.

Yep I would much rather play OKC than Lakers, all you have to do is look at both front lines... TC would have a field day

Hornets coach Monty Williams said a 27-4 disparity in free throw attempts is "hard to do in a pickup game."
"For a game to be that physical and we only get four free throws, I just don't understand," Williams said. "Guys are just competing their butts off and I thought we deserved a little bit more whatever you want to call it."
For West, the explanation was simpler.
"It comes down to the name on the front of the jersey and the name on the back of the jersey," he said. "They get the benefit of the doubt, it's just what we have to deal with. We know that. We just have to move on. That's a crazy discrepancy."

Rockets guard Aaron Brooks will be suspended for Monday’s game in Denver after leaving the court in the fourth quarter Saturday at Toyota Center, Rockets general manager Daryl Morey said.
Morey said he would have no additional comment. A one-game suspension is customary in such situations. Brooks did not travel with the Rockets to Denver on Sunday.
Brooks was taken out of Saturday’s overtime win against the Memphis Grizzlies with 6:45 left in the fourth quarter, but instead of heading to the bench, went to the locker room.
Brooks has said he had been frustrated with his role coming off the bench and with his play, but had gotten over it. He was not available for comment.
Rockets coach Rick Adelman indicated that Brooks was not injured. Asked where Brooks had gone, Adelman said, “I don’t know. I don’t know. You’d have to ask him.”

Brooks is a better version of Barea and thats it.
He is not really starting material for a true contender and the scoring punch of the bench is the perfect role for him (Terry, Crawford etc).
But yeah, one good chucker season and he thinks he is star, rofl. And quitting on his team mates is such a absolutly no go. He is gone in Houston and teams will be careful to other big contracts.

The sorry part is that the Rockets won. That makes Aaron look a heck of a lot worse. Abandoning your team like that is never a good thing.

Dunno what this is all about, but apparently something is going on in Utah with Sloan:

RT @SHowardCooper: Strange developments in Utah...Sloan, GM O'Connor talk after game. Sloan says topic will be revealed Thurs.

RT @SHowardCooper: Per Salt Lake Tribune writer (@tribjazz)said Sloan appeared shaken. Practice scheduled for Thursday has been cancelled.

It is strange isn't it. On first blush I'd say Sloan is stepping down.

Something big/weird is going down in SLC concerning Jerry Sloan and I'm very curious as to what it is.

Lakers beating Knicks by double digits in the THIRD, Spurs lost but it doesn't really matter to mavs as we won't catch them. I think homecourt would be huge between Dallas-La but not La-SA or Dallas- SA

The Cavs would win against the clippers. Ha ha and this was the team people thought would be a playoff team this season with a supposedly solid core?

They do have a solid young core, and I was saying that they had a chance to sneak into the playoffs next year if the pieces fall into place, and I still stand by that.

Spurs ahead by 40 in Washington. Thats what happens if you discourage bad teams early in the game ... they just quit. We should do that too instead of letting them stick around

Is there a more underrated team in the NBA right now than the San Antonio Spurs?
They're on pace for a 67+ win season, yet ESPN is treating them like a middle-tier ball club - the mediocre Knicks (27-26) get the kind of coverage that a serious contender would warrant while the Spurs are largely ignored (and I bet most of these sports writers are going to act all surprised when the Spurs make the WCF, as if it wasn't inevitable all season!)

The nba is so shady. Playing the heat in a 7 game series would be brutal, having to deal with LBJ+WADE+the refs every 4th quarter.

How about letting the players play instead of calling a touch foul every time a player tries to bull his way into the paint? Unless the dude is mugged or thrown down going up it should be fair game.
NBA would be so much better. Also LOL@ Rondo taking late game shots.
