Default List of College Basketball guys to keep an eye on for draft

With the college basketball season coming up I thought i would make a list of guys to look out for that can be draft picks in the upcoming season, obviously names like Terrance Jones, Perry Jones, Harrison Barnes are more familar and will go earlier than most

Returning players:

There is not a position weaker than the point guard class going into next year further more it really lacks returning PG with first round potential.

PG:
1. Kendall Marshal- He maybe the only returnee with first round potential (and even that is up in the air), he has a good handle, pushes the pace, has amazing vision and pin point passes, he isn't overly athletic nor does he have a good jumpshot, if he can improve his jump shot he can be a first rounder.

2. Tu Halloway- Generiously listed at 6 feet and 185 pounds Halloway has game changing speed and a ok jumpshot, Halloway has a great mid range game that he can't exploit a ton because of his height (87% FT shooter) he will struggle finishing in the NBA at his size but could turn out to be a poor mans JJ Barea, someone will take a chance in the second round.

3. Tyshawn Taylor- Someone will take a chance on the very gifted athlete but at this point Taylor is an athlete more than a basketball player, he plays out of controll at times, and has mediocre skills, if he can improve on his ballhandling and make better decisions he can push himself into the early second round area.

4. Ray McCullum- After starting the season slow as a freshman McCallum really turned it on as the season progressed, he has gamechanging speed and handles, and is a solid rebounder for his size, the questions though are hard to ignore and it is his mediocre jumpshot and his size, he really needs to improve his mid range game a lot too be considered a surefire pick by time he leaves for NBA

5. Elijah Johnson- There isn't another boom or bust prospect like him, he is one of more athletic players in the country, he has the size and strength to play in the NBA right now, this is his big year, KU fans know its now or never for him he will be given plenty of time and has all the skills to prove he is a first rounder.

Other names to keep eyes on: Damian Lillard, Lorenzo Brown, Jordan Taylor.

Incoming Freshman

1. Myck Kabongo- The Canadian PG doesn't have ideal size at a skinny 6 foot (maybe slightly plus) but has an outstanding feel for the game and very quick, he is a very good passer and has potential pile up the steals. Kabongo has a very flat jumper that has mixed results and is hesitant to pull up, how he can create his own shot will go a long way, if he can improve on that he can be a mid first rounder, if not he will probably need to stay in school about 3 years to get a lot stronger.

Marquise Teague- Seems like undersized quick point guards are the theme and this is the same with Teague, he is at his best using his speed and explosiveness to get the rim and in the open floor, he is very athletic as well which helps him finish. But the weaknesses are very clear a mediocre jumpshot and poor court sense shows he has a long way to go (pounds the ball too much), he isn't selfish pursay he just doesn't see the game like a PG needs to. I think Teague maybe a bit overrated but he has all the physical talents to be an NBA starting PG down the line its about him seeing the game a lot faster.

will continue this more in a bit
