Jon Stefansson, who was a Maverick last season, has been playing well for his team in Russia.

He was selected as a starter in the FIBA Europe all star game, and did 10 pts, 3 reb.

Other guys who were selected are Shammond Williams, (ex-Golden State)
Khalid el-amin, (ex-Chicago)
Ratko Varda, (ex-Washington)

I think the Mavs are going to regret letting Steph go. I've seen him in the layup line before a game started, and he did not miss a single one. The guy is flat out talented.

In that second pic it looks as though he's going to pull one of his patented crossovers he showed us in Dallas.

i saw him play a game in russia in april. he looked good, came off the bench for some 17 points and 5 rebs, which is pretty good
considering that he spent the three previous day in hospital. i may be biased but i think he could very well play in the nba and he said
in some interviews that some NBA teams had contacted his agent, he also said he really liked the mavs and would prefer dallas over
other NBA teams.

I honestly think the Mavs still have eyes on him. They didnt draft him so they couldnt send him over seas, but they made some nice connections to the guy and if he matures up and develops a few more facets to the game, he'll definitely get a call. Russian league has a good reputation for developing players. NBA scouts like Russians, and players like Darius Songaila went from being unplayable super spares to producers from playing there for a while.

Thats pretty interesting EL. I wouldnt mind signing Steff if we let Armstrong go in the summer. If he puts up good numbers and impresses in Russia, I would be fine having him as our 3rd PG

don't forget Oggie Askarabic. He was on the Mavs radar, or at least in rumor on the Mavs radar a while back.

12-16 for 28points, 11rebounds, 6assists.

The final is over! Dynamo St.P won BC Kyiv 85-74...

Jon scored 9 points on 3/12 shooting, but made it up by keeping Kiyv's best offensive player scoreless in the first half.
